Topic: Facebook Isn't For Me

I am on facebook. It is such a wonderful way to keep in touch with family and friends that are not only scattered across the country, but the world as well. I don't play the farm games and such that come with facebook. I always keep in mind that anything posted on facebook can be seen by friends AND friends of friends (and you never know who that may be). So it is like a big poster board that can be hung anywhere. I am very careful who I add as friends there.

You can change that setting to just friends.

I only know of Myspace and Facebook. I don't like Myspace but I do enjoy Facebook. I stay in touch with all my friends and family very easily with it.

I didn't think I would like Facebook but I love it and like it better than Myspace.

I agree. I use it for friends, family and colleagues. It's great to keep connected in the industry I work in.

MySpace is so much more 'sensational' if that makes any sense.

whoa

I used to be on facebook. But the other day I went into mt account, and somebody else's profile was on my profile pagescared So, after i was finally able to pull up my profile ( after ALOT of work ) I changed my password. Then I closed my account. Then. After doing some more digging. Found out that they had taken over a couple more accounts I had. Finally ended up restoring my comp. back to factory setting. Then created all new passwords for every thing.scared scared Yes. Very scary

sounds more like you had been hacked,by a trojan program, that mirrors or records keystrokes thereby sharing your passwords.
always scan your computer with a Good anti-spyware.Daily.

if you had said only one account,id think it was simpler, but when you said several accounts, then it seems more like a trojan.

facebook isnt secure, and therefore i dont use it.

Had to delete my Facebook account after getting written up at work for "comments unbecoming an ******* employee" ....(my only write up...I tacked it up next to my employee of the year award)

but, my sis asked me to start one up again....now I have it clearly posted for all coworkers to f**k the hell off and I will only put up with liking them on the clock.
you can block all of your stuff from people not on your friendlist

I know....but, if I am gonna bother explaining why I didn't want to go to the company Christmas party cause I didn't want to pretend like I wanted to hang out with that self centered b*tch who runs the Lubbock branch...I say it out loud. I just prefer to talk s**t in front of peoples backs. (boy...our manager was p*ssed that she was calling every 10 minutes to see if he would fire me)...all the rest of the managers laughed saying that they didnt think anyone would actually come right out and say what they all were thinking.

No Myka....It was on the weekend....I only got the write up just to shut that whining tw*t up.

Wow, that sucks. I have a few people from work on mine, but I watch what I say about work, just in case.

You may want to adjust your settings so you know who can see what, rather than letting everything be seen by friends of friends.
