Hello everyone!flowerforyou I am 6 months pregnant:heart: and single. I'm terrified at the fact that I AM alone in this. I have the support of pretty much my ENTIRE family and all of my girlfriends, but no significant other. I know there are women out there that are in fact lucky enough to find men who just, well, don't care? I guess you could say? About dating pregnant women. But I don't seem to have that type of luck lol. So basically what I'm looking to find out is, are there any women out there that have been able to cope with raising a baby on their own and being satisfied and happy WITH doing that on their own? Don't get me wrong, I am extremely excited to have my little boy, but I can't help but feel just, unattractive due to being oh, a whale, I guess being pregnant with someone else's child and realizing how difficult it will be to find "the one" with a child. I want my baby to have the child hood I had. I want the best for him. So in order to keep the focuse on my baby only, what are some ways to keep up the positive, and keep out the negetive?? I appreciate ANY advice, male or female!! xoxoxoxoohwell

my advice is work on the relationships you DO have and find the blessing in them,,,,I am also a single mom and I have awesome memories of being part of a couple as well as strong values about raising children with a mother AND father figure,,,,,but in lieu of all that all I Can do is be the best example of an adult and a human being for my kids to follow

Ive learned to stop hoping or waiting for that elusive romance and find the romance and joy in those who already love me,,,I think that type of emotional stability and confidence will keep away the users and help to avoid making impulsive , bad choices in partners. Then when the right one comes,, its gonna be MAGIC,,,

good luck,,,,make sure you do what you can to set a great example for your kid, Im sure it will all turn out

yay i wouldnt worry too much about being alone. Although it sounds like an improbable statement but really, it is what it is right now and in a few months you will have the ONLY MAN you'll want in your life. I had a spouse for years and recently divorced and now a single mother of 3 children, the hardest part of it for me, is lacking that opposite sex/support when I feel worn out. Its good you have the support of your friends and family and dont be afraid to ask them for some help/physical, because you will need it. Dont worry about dating for awhile. Seriously. You wont have the time to devote anyways. Good luck.

well kiddo...

this is not the time ...in my opinion only..to be worrying about finding a man..

this is the time where the baby should be your one and only concern...

men...finding one ...being with one...isnot a priority now

your health and the baby is:heart:

I have raised my child alone for 6 yrs. I am happy and so is she. Its the most difficult job I have ever had but I love every second. She is my world. Everything can go downhill and I still have her beautiful smiling face in mine every morning. I was still able to do school and buy my own house. I am also now back in school to work at home. It can be done!!! =)

I've been raising my 11 yr old an 5 yr old sons alone since birth. Best advice I can give u, think about all the positives in goin it alone rather than the negatives. Here's a few positives to get u started............No one to argue with about how ur disciplining, No one to argue with about who's turn it is to fix the bottle, change the diaper, etc. Don't worry about havin a man at ur side. U have a great support system sounds like cherish that. Choose someone that's in ur life now to be there with u thru it, enjoy the pregnancy then simply enjoy bein a Mom. The rest will follow in it's own due time.

Best of luck an Congrats drinker

I think you would be good for a man who was wanting a family. First of all you have positive proof that you can become pregnant. Second, you didn't abort the baby so obviously it shows that you care about human life. That means that maybe you won't abort him in a time of crisis. Third, you both would already have something to talk about. Fourth, He could see that you probably wouldn't be cheating on him till at least the baby was born. Fifth, if he was infertile you would be ideal, too if he wanted to help raise a family. Sixth, if he was needing a home it probably easier to get a bigger place if you both were looking at public housing.

All the women are right here, focus on your son. A positive thought would be to remember that a baby feels your worries and stress. Be easy. Pray. Pregnancy is one of the sweetest times of your life (providing morning sickness doesn't go past the first trimester), enjoy it. Girl...you're not on the monthlies!!!! heyyy!!! p.s..I'm another single mom, on my way up and so are you. Stay positive even if it means coming online okay...Hugs*

Honestly, I would just say focus on raising your child and spending as much time as you can showing him or her how much love you have for them. I myself thought I was going to raise my first son alone, and then without even realizing it...along came someone very special when my son was 9 months old. Our first date included my son, and we actually never had a date without him.
Trust me, there are so many guys out there that would love to have a chance at finding a family and falling in love..so never think just because you have a child, its over!!! I wish you lots of happiness and best of luck bringing a healthy baby into this world!! flowers
