Manhattan UFO sightings are rare, but one spotted on Wednesday October 13, prompted the public information hotline to ring with dozens of calls about the object of unknown origin appearance, according to CBS news' The Early Show.

A CBS video showed the usually unflappable New Yorkers grouped together on the street, staring up at the sky and pointing.

The crowd in the video spoke about the unusual nature of the sighting as the footage shows the triple sphere objects in the sky over Manhattan.



"We'll let people draw their own conclusions as to what they saw in the air over New York City,” said FAA spokesman Jim Peters on Newsday.com.

"The Federal Aviation Administration says, they remain, well ... unidentified. As in UFOs," quipped newsday.com.
