Love is an emotional response to a unknown situation. The biggest issue I have with these questions is that they are always about love, which is simply an emotional response like hate. These questions never take into account the amount of care someone may have for someone (or something, Gein fans beware). I honestly think that instead of love we should be focused more on care considering that love is used by 12 year olds to explain their first date, perhaps care would be a better word. I care about someone, I know she cares about me and it is a pretty awesome feeling knowing someone cares about you. Care insinuates longevity, longevity leads to love...care=love. way to be so scientific about it, trusth is you cannot actually explain the emotions and will of humans by equasions and formulas |

I was just saying that I think people should be more focused on care before jumping the love band-wagon. Divorce rate is still over 50% and ever-increasing, single parent households are steadily climbing as well, not even taking into account the absurd number of abandoned children. I just think our priorities are a tad ****ed up if we are more concerned about love before anything else. |

Love is a double-edged blade, on one hand it can bring about great things...but in most cases it just brings about more pain, discouragement, and tension. Just as quick as someone can say "I love him/her" someone can say "I love [insert negative comment]." This is why the fairy tale definition hasn't stood the test of time, because evolution has surpassed it. Maybe people stopped believing in it, or maybe they stopped fighting for it, but the reality of it all along was that it wouldn't last. |

how do I define love:
I know it when I feel it but don't always recognize it right away. It is more than caring and more than lust and more than sharing tho it includes all of those things. It's more than total selflessness because we have to also love ourselves to really be able to love another. (therefore cannot be totally selfless ) It is the quiet acceptance of you just the way u are by me, and the joy of knowing you, and your mutual acceptance of me also even tho we both know we wont always see eye-to-eye - we know we are safe to say so. safe to feel passions. safe to trust the other. |
