You can 'Search' your computer,
if you know what you named them.

And where did you get them 'from'
to begin with?
For instance, if it was off your
camera, they may still be there.

They're gone forever in the internal abyss known as your harddrive.

As was mentioned above, you can use search (or find or locate... whatever windohs calls it, now).

What might narrow things down for you is, perhaps, the file extention, if you remember what that was.
I'm going to venture a guess that your pics were .jpg images. So, with that in mind, if you start the search function and input *.jpg (the * is a wildcard) search should find every .jpg image on your box. Keep in mind that you might have ALOT of jpg on your box, so it might take a little while. When it's done, you can sort by location and such. In that same vein, if you think your stuff are png pics, you would use *.png for your query and down the line for any file you wish to look for.

Keep in mind, also, that before you start the search, if you have absolutely no idea where they might be, you can tell the search function to search your whole hdd. I think it's a drop down box. ie- don't forget to tell the search where to search! (windohs likes stashing one's crap in obscure places)

Good luck!
