I'm not very Christain, but like Opera. Is Opera based from the Christains?

<--- is christian but believes opera only does for others to make her self look good.. i mean come on .. why make all ur great deeps public. just do them and not say anything .. really .. its not abbout getting credit from the public for what you do. i could be wrong .. and this is just my opinion

Opera as in music?? Is not religiously based ...it is simply entertainment.

Name a Classic Opera that's from a non christain people. ie Muslim or Jewish, or Budist, ect..?

Japanesse have something close to opera. But Opera is not a religiously based thing.

I don't know much about it but I never heard of it being religion based...I'm sure they would promote it as such if it was!!!!!!!!

I dont think opera is religious based either....most I have seen are italian operas......

swan lake, phantom of the opera, nutcracker those are just a few that i have seen on PBS (channel 8) where i am from but i would love to see one in person

Opera is a musical drama performed on stage. Fiddler On the Roof is an opera.
