We are made free from the old law once we have received Christ. Now does that mean we should go forth trying to break laws, it doesn’t. The old sacrificial laws are done away with and the new are to love God first then others as you do yourself. If you love others you will want to live life for others.

MATTHEW 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

You do need to follow the Ten Commandments. God gave us a guideline for us to have happy lives. I have been asked about why don’t we have to live by the old sacrificial laws and the reason we don’t is because of Christ’s sacrifice.

2CORINTHIANS 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us; we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Jesus Christ Gave Himself as a sacrifice so we could be free from sin. If you’re not saved ask God for salvation in Jesus Christ’s Name. Here is a sample prayer, Have faith in what your praying and you will be saved. Find a good Christian church that serves Christ and tell them that you have asked for salvation and they will help you grow in Christ. Go to Sunday school you will find it to be a great reward.

“God I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve, so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven.

Jesus Christ, with your help I place my trust in you for salvation, and I ask that you will forgive me of my sins. I thank you for your wonderful grace and forgiveness.”
