Do you do it for "sport" or do you eat what you hunt?

Just shooting an animal and mounting it's head on a wall annoys me.

Hunting an animal and using it's meat to feed your family is another story.

I used to live on a farm, we were totally isolated with many hours away from the nearest town, no power, no water and we had to rely on being completely self reliant. Which meant we would have to hunt. I rather enjoyed it n i think to some extent it is necessary for survival.

As far as a sport......i guess it depends on what ur hunting. I would be highly against hunting endangered animals, I know where I have lived previously hunting becomes necessary for livestock survival not to mention the pest factor such as rabbits and wild boar.

Im sure there probably are alot of ppl against the killing of animals, but when u have seen the damage some of these animals do to the environment the end justify the means to me :)

my ex hubby went deer hunting one yr while we were still married and he wanted to take my daughter with him (mind you she was 4yrs old) she loved all animals and if she had went she would had freaked seeing him shooting a deer

i wasent going to allow him to take her hunting that was totally wronggrumble noway noway

i understand huntings not for everybody i just dont like people who eat meat and dont agree with hunting i find them ignorant i give alot of meat away to friends and family what dont hunt and they appreciate where that meat came from the wild not some cage bread in poor conditions

I agree with u there, fresh hunted meat is much more healthy n tastes a whole lot better too.

Query though, isnt fishing seen as hunting in a way...........how do most ppl feel about that?

i just don't like killing things...i mean, someone has too, or there wouldn't be any meat anywhere...so i leave it to them... i feel it is not my place to take the life of an animal that just wants what we want, to live...
