GM's Union workers are set to receive profit-sharing bonus checks averaging over $4,000. Too bad non-union workers at other companies won't be getting anything like that.

Neither will they be getting a pension or any kind of decent health care.
But hey, management and the rightists are happy. |

Your point being? Lots of people don't make profit sharing. Your paid to do your job no matter what. If your company has an inccetive bonus than great if not it's not a big deal. It makes you wonder though, how many employees do they have? If they were nit giving 4k To every employee they could expand and afford to hire another employee for about every 12 people they give a bonus too. Instead they give more money. Helps employees but hurts the unemployed.

I should add. I think it's awfully altruistic that non-union workers are willing to forego higher pay so that their unemployed neighbors can get jobs. It doesn't seem to be working that way. |

I am sure all those unemployed US auto workers will take solace in that statement.. |

How neet...!!!
We bail out a non-functioning company. (brought to that condition by Unions asking for more of the 'pie' than any company can ACTUALLY afford - and Management that had not the balls to put a stop to it)... then those same Unions get a political bonus so every Union member out in the real world gets the false impression that 'it could happen to you' (if you just stick to the Union propaganda long enough). This is pork politics at its worst. Ranks right up their with 'forcing' legislation from a Democratic majority... Then 'running' when the majority goes the other way... Thereby making a mockery of our electoral process. |

Esp. after all the pay cuts and benefit cuts they've given up for all these years while the Republicans have cut the trade tariffs which allowed them to build a quality product and compete in their own country fairly. |
