What do you think should happen to the one that claims harassment but truly is not being harassed in any form...yet in that persons mind they truly feel they are being harassed...

I don't understand DB... If a person works with/for the person they live with I can understand both.. If they're getting it at work and at home I can understand that... I would love to offer a thought but I feel at a loss to offer an intelligent opinion without knowing more details...

I understand that details are apparent and that more information is needed to speak about the situation...I just wanted to get a birds eye view on how people would approach the topic...

if someone has asked you to leave and you still stick around. . that is harrassment. Even verbal when they are asking you personal questions and you have repeaditly asked them to leave but they refuse.

FIRST,,I would ADDRESS the one saying I was,,,or the one DOING that.......and then
See what they said,,,as to how I would deal with it after that.
IF they brushed me off,,,,I would bring it to someone else's attentions that could also be my witness to that harassment.
THEN,,,maybe? THEY ALSO COULD SPEAK UP,,,and tell them,,
I HAVE SEEN YOU DO THIS ALSO.or heard?
Most times the harassment is FELT more than its GIVEN..
because of a BIG difference in HOW YOU BOTH SEE LIFE.
IF ITS SOMETHING YOU CAN JUST OVER-LOOK,,i would then,,,but,,IF ITS SOMETHING THAT IS CAUSING you stress AND SLEEP AND WORRY,
THEN,,I'd DEAL with the proper channels at work,,but STILL,,I would want to have a witness,,,because I HATE,,,HE SAID,,SHE SAID,,as the ONLY PROOF of ANY MATTER...
If THIS has you asking HERE,,,,then its THOUGHT ABOUT ENOUGH to make you feel a NEED to get answers ,,,so I would get that problem out of my life,,if I was you..

IF,,,a guy named Bill at work with you said HI HONEY,,or HEY SWEET CHEEKS,,or GOOD MORNING SEXY,,,every time he saw you coming into work,,THATS HARASSMENT and he should be told to stop,,by YOU first,,THEN,,through channels at your work-place..
BUT KNOW THIS,,,,,,,IF you make ANY actuation at work about another employee there,,,,YOU and THEM,,will both be under a magnifying glass,,and MANY others will be asked what THEY have heard or seen as well,,,AND,,IF that person loses their job because of that,
THEN,,,YOU have to always watch your back?
So,,its always a double edged sword as to even make that statement?

Many know someone is harm-less in hurting them or REALLY acting on what THEY SUGGEST,,,BUT,,,many MAY ACT,,,and do,,so its a very hard place to MAKE A STAND on and LIVE with all the complexities that come with it..

If a person is annoying someone persistently or that person is creating an unpleasant or hostile situation for - especially by uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical conduct, you may already say that that person is harassing you.

We have to note though that if the alleged victim willingly participated in an inviting (sexual) banter or risqué jokes, it will be more difficult for them to prove that they have actually been harassed.

Sometimes, I may say especially here in the Philippines, it is very important that one establishes his/her public decorum in order to avoid being subjected to harassment. As a general rule, when someone kind of feel like they are subjected to this treatment, it is always okay to discuss it with the offending individual. If situation doesn’t change, ask for a third party assistance (workplace: a direct supervisor/manager to both or the offending individual; home: the guardians/parents; or in the case wherein it is a parent/guardian who is the harasser, go to oldest kin or older nearest relatives).

I think at work, policies should be in place. Personally, I believe in documenting things. If someone is offending another, I think both should have a meeting with their superior to discuss it where they can both give their 'side'. The Superior should have it written and signed for future use and decide upon the proper measure to try and prevent future 'offense'.

I dont think ANYONE should have to read minds and what is 'offensive' to one may be seen as a 'compliment' by someone else. So we must always OPEN OUR MOUTH to express discomfort so the offender has the opportunity to stop. If, after we have TOLD THEM to stop, they proceed, I would consider it harassment.
