ok i have liked this girl all through grade 9-12 than in grade 12 i finally asked her out to movie and she said yes but it was at the end of the year and after the movie we kinda never said we should do this again or anything and i tried phoning her 3 times but she wasnt home so i've waited 3 weeks now cuz we just graduated and dont go to school together anymore but i still wanna ask her out again and im just wondering how i should do it, if i should visit her at her work (restaurant) she's waitress, or phone her or sumthing, i also want to know a good place to take her thats a better place than a movie and if theres anything funny i can say to start up a conversation cuz im not good at starting conversations but once i get going i can do well. Thanks for any advice.

Noah, I think I'd nix the attitude idea. As you probably talked in school before you asked her to the movies, she'll know if that attitude is fake and although some girls may enjoy God's gift to women -- I'm thinkin' you'd be headed for an eye-roll if not a full out snort. Go to the restaurant, make sure you get seated at one of her tables and roll with it from there. If she laughed at anything before/during/or after the movie you saw, you can lightly reference that somehow if you absolutely feel the need. To me, humor flows better if its not forced. For a place to go, you can always ask her if there's something she'd like to do this summer that she hasn't yet and go from there. WARNING: If she switches servers on you, take the hint or confirm with the new server and move on.........

just be yourself, I mean if you are not a pompous arrogant jerk, don't be one. Basically if you are yourself and just relax, maybe you'll succeed , maybe you'll fail, but you'll have a much better chance with that or any other lady.

This coming from someone who has never had a date in his life... forget my advice, what do I know?

well, if she wasn't home did you leave a message and number for her to call you back?

if she did not return your call i do not think she is interested in going out. i'd try to move on.

if you did not leave a message then i'd say call her again and leave a message that you would like to talk with her!

And if that doesn't work, tell her you're friends with Satan and he has a very important message for her. That should do the trick... :)

I just read this very cool book called the System, by Roy Valentine. I learned more about picking up girls with this book than in all my years of dating. I wish I had the book when I was in college. I really recommend this book for guys looking to get hooked up.

Noah;

Drop in to see her at the restaurant - and bring a flower with you. Doesn't have to be a rose, just something simple - then ask her if she's into amusement parks or baseball. Something where you can either focus on the action, or each other. Leave the movies for the 3rd or 4th time you go out.

A book? whaaaat?

I trust my instincts.

and as for that girl, pop into said resturaunt with some friends and strike up conversation. Be polite, and after a while, ask her about another date. harmless question.

if you are polite and present yourself as calm and relaxed, it wont put her on edge eather.

smokin Howdy homes!

You seem like a nice-guy, and your story reminds me of a friend of mine. He always felt awkward talking to girls he was interested in, so I gave him this advice. I hope it helps.

We all know to be yourself...talking in that British accent is only going to get you so far, and then you are on your own. What a lot of people don't realize is that being yourself also means being honest. If she likes pop-music, but you don't, then don't try to hide that, let her know. Trust me, you are a lot more interesting to a girl if you have your own opinions and you are comfortable with who you are.

Secondly, the key to a good conversation is not in what you say, but in how well you listen. If you want to be a great "talker", ask her about herself. You are interested in her, right? That must mean there are a million things you would like to know about her. As luck would have it, conversations are excellent opportunities for asking someone those questions. Don't worry about talking about yourself or making yourself look interesting - if she's interested she'll ask you the questions that she wants to know.

Lastly, it doesn't matter where you ask her, so long as you ask her. You know her better than we do, which would be more comfortable for her? Bah, which setting would be more comfortable for you? Good luck guy, I hope she gives you muchas smoochas:wink:
