i think it's against forum rules to rate illinois profiles, but i'm a rebel so.......

i'd take out negative stuff, like the wife leaving, just leave it at been out of the dating loop for awhile and ready to jump back in. keep it positive and you'll attract more smiles!

welcome!

Shiki is not going to rate this profile, because you seem like a good guy, but I want to give you some honest feedback. You're too nice.

Being nice is a great attribute; unfortunately, many people like to take advantage of nice people. Women do love nice people, but they also love a bit of mystery and excitement in their lives. They want a "good guy" and a "bad boy" at the same time.

I recommend toning down the "caring, affectionate" stuff and adding a bit about what you bring to the table, in terms of passion. You mention great qualities, but without comparable qualities of excitement and intrigue, women may get bored or look at you as the "friend," rather than as the "stud." And unless you want to hear them talking about why their boyfriends are not treating them right, instead of being such a boyfriend, bring out the "bad boy" qualities in you.

Just my two cents.

You`ve got some good stuff in there but I would break it up a bit so it`s easier to skim (which most will do at first)
And add more pictures

Dang! Can't say it better than BeautyInChaos. Add Pictures, make the text easier to skim, (hmm, that skim-able text format is a really good idea).
