Yep, happened to me and not just on this site. Even happened irl, several times. Scamming is not limited to one particular area. You can find them everywhere, and more often than not, you don't have to look far or look at all. Such a pity, really, because they take away not just from the people they prey upon, but also from those who really need the help.

Oh, and fyi, if you came across one here kindly use the report option so the mods can take care of them.

I think we all have been in contact with scammers. My first interest on here, took his time to try and lure me in then 2 months later. I find out he is actually Nigerian. My advise is google anyone you start talking to. Or look them up on facebook or myspace. Better safe than sorry. After your first real involvement with a scammer you get better at identifying them.
Good Luck

Met one who was not very smart in his chosen 'career' laugh He did not tell me a sad story but sent me too good to believe love messages thinking he could outsmart me.

When dealing with somebody we do not know, especially if it is online, it is always good to be very keen into details making sure we ask smart leading questions they seem harmless enough to be taken for granted by fakes.

I've been lucky I guess. Almost two years I've been on this site and no scammers. But even if I had one cross my path....there is no money for me to send and there is no reason for someone to send a check to me. They're out of luck (ha).

I have been a victims of scammer though i know its not allowed maybe to pinpoint there race but those people are often involved in scam. Maybe because their country cannot offer them jobs. And lack of food to eat so they resort to scam hoping to find a victims. Really bad.
