When you take a day off work, do you prefer to go somewhere/do something, or do you prefer to relax and do nothing?

I usually have a 3-day off work in a week. These days are basically spent with my children so I based it to whatever they feel like doing. Especially now that they're on school summer vacation, it could be as fun as any outdoor activities such as swimming, eating out, going to movie houses, basketball/badminton games or as pleasant and subdued as reading together, watching films at home, videoke, playing board games or as simple as snuggling and chatting together.

My personal time off is every last night of my 4-day work wherein I go out with my old friends.

Normally, I save my days off for when I've planned vacations, or have planned something else to do. But, I am taking tomorrow off to just extend my long weekend. I will spend the day sleeping in, getting a massage and just relaxing.

I am usually doing something on my days off, but last weekend I just laid around and rested up! It's nice every now & then :)

My day starts at about 8.00 am & ends at about 2.00 am.

Approximately for 18 hours I'm working daily in different roles.

Sometimes I think of getting off but seldom I do.

Work is my passion & hobby too.

Its difficult for me to just sit / sleep & keep watching something on T.V / Net without doing anything parallely.

I'm habitant of working late night & cant sleep earlier even if lying in bed.

Each of my hobby is related with some kind of work & I enjoy doing that with passion.

Actually never plan anything just do what ever hits me sometimes I sleep late sometimes I get up early to do yard work or go see a movie, maybe to Applebee's to eat and a few beers....Then there are days I don't do anything but sleep eat and sign on here......

I'm not really talking about weekends, but instead, specifically taking a day off of work.

Ah, a workaholic. Do you do anything outside of work that you actually enjoy?

Hummm well in that case I very seldom request a day off of work besides my normal days off and if I do it is only cause I have somewhere to go like out of town or a family function.

Why do you seldom request days off? Do you end up using all of your vacation time each year?

My last job I had where I had vacation if we did not take our vacation they actually paid us anyway at the end of the year......

So at times I would take a week if I was going some where other wise I would collect the check at the end of the year like a bonas

Ah, I can understand not taking vacation if that's the case. We have to use all but one week by the end of the year, or we lose our vacation.

I too usually use my vacation leaves for occasions or planned vacations. At times it's when my children has affairs in school

My days off i start with a long workout session @ the gym, if the weather is nice i spend it outside like go to the beach or the lake.Have lunch at a nice place. Evening go to play pool or bowling or go watch a movie then dinner with friends/family and back in bed around midnightish.... I`m very spontaneous as well like to take road trips like last week just left Houston to San Antonio and did some Rafting... Always open that`s my Mantra for my days off.

When I am working, there are no days off

even after punching the clock, I still have a 24-7 job

At least that job involves cuteness!

Taking off to see your children at school events is good.
