Welcome to my TuneLand.

The last week I was inspired by Krupa's world and I thought it was so cool how he has shared his art in such a way that it makes you feel like you are there. After really getting into it I started to get the idea that maybe I could share a bit of my world with those of you who are into high end audio listening.

To start off with I thought I would introduce you to my Vegas tower setup and a few other of my hide outs.

There have been a couple of changes since this shoot 3 years ago (like Flat screens and more techy computer setup) but it gives you an idea for the life of the audio designer. Every room in my places have systems in them. I find the Vibe of being inside of my art brings the most out of my creative spirit.

The latest addition is a device called The Tunable Room. Basically it's a room inside of a room that is completely tunable like a musical instrument. This room can make the music sound any way you want it to with all passive controls. I use these for both playback and recording.

yes, people put these in their home lol

Yep, it's a ton of fun listening in these rooms. I'll put up a few more systems of mine so you can get different flavors.

Here's a crazy setup I did. Yes, these are components stripped of their chassis and tuned with my tuning toys.

mg... do you have any equipment recommendations for a young, 17yo, very interested in getting into mixing, producing, dj'ing, (primarily dubstep right now)? limited budget, but heavy on the interest and creative mind. if yes, i don't wanna mess up your thread with this, i can email you.

You wouldn't be messing up anything, but yes email me cause I wouldn't want anyone to think that I am doing this for business in any way. I can even answer questions on this thread if it's just advice. I love helping people get better sound. That's what it's all about.

This is a cool system in a 10 X 12 room using the Chameleon loudspeaker.

I pick up lamps all over the place. I'm into cool lighting, especially floor lamps.

Yes, wood is the key to great sound. One of the reasons I live in Vegas is because of how dry it is. When curing a piece of wood I take it down to 5% and then start slowing shaping the sound of the wood till I get it to do what I want. These tunable rooms for example: you can walk inside and tune in your body. If I shift the pitch up no matter how low you try to talk your voice will come out high. Likewise if you tune to set the room low even if you try to talk very high your chest will vibrate. Listening to music on these systems is definitely a spirit like thing. Things are on the recording that you never knew were there and the instruments on the systems come back to the real size of the sound stage. No sound comes out of the speakers once the room is tuned in as the walls become the speaker. A head trip.

My music kinda mingles with art and although I do not consider myself all that good I enjoy letting the brush flow often. Shapes and spaces between music and art seem to meld together.

here's a self portrait
