A poem of mine that finally met the woman who earned it.
I ride these winds....they beckon me. They are the sultry breath of eternity. Whispering...murmuring of truest love. I ride these winds so far above. I hear you breathe in the still of night. I feel your smile and it feels so right. Your laughing voice soft in my ear...returns me to a realm of hope beyond my days of fear. THe starlight spangles in forever black....light your smiles in my memories back. Cut loose the ties that hold you down. Cast free those dark and weighted shrouds........Chase through these skies past Heavens gate.....making love...in raining clouds. This world so very far below us...Heavan so far above. I ride these winds that fate has blown....breathe in my kiss my love. The azure blue of painted skies reflects the soul within your eyes. I see you flying...lost to my dreams. Ever dancing in crystal streams. Just smile your smile turn to the wind. Remember me...true love true friend. Don't fear the storms when clouds grow dark. When hope is lost from sight. Draw from my strength as I ever wait....in the shallows of the night. |
