San Diego is real nice with 55 to 85 all year round. If I moved for weather, I'd move there. Or Hawaii.

I lived downtown, easy access to clubs and the beach. Close to gay town but they didn't bother you.

I drove in from Poway but traffic was a killer. but at the same time it was closer to the racetrack and LaJolla

and of course I live on 32nd street for five or six years

I lived in El Cajon but moved to 5th street apartments. About $600 in the mid 90s but no a/c bill or heat bill either!
