Okay... so i just got reamed out by a guy because he asked me if i was "talking to" anyone at the moment. And i answered honestly... there's a guy i'm sort of "talking to" and another guy i'd rather be "talking to"... and he said i'm shallow and I'm one of the girls that feel the need to "talk to" multiple people just so i can use them and make myself feel pretty. I'm not DATING anyone, so i dont feel theres anything wrong with talking to multiple guys. I dont feel like i'm using anyone, and I'm not sure how else i would know who to go with if i didnt "talk to" more than one person...

So whats your opinion... Is it wrong to be "talking to" more than one person in an interested way? Am i the biotch, or is that guy over-reacting (do note that i'm leading NO ONE on.. i'm not dating anyone)

so funny, I just posed this question in another thread titled 'dating'

its interesting the range of responses from guys, some feel a girl should only spend time with (not talking sex, just time) or be interested in one guy at a time

some feel that , if there is no stated commitment, there is no place for such exclusive requirements,,,

he might be over reacting - I guess it depends on what else is going on and what you've been talking about & for how long and if there are any commitments etc etc

but on the surface it does look as tho he is over reacting

i just met this guy... that was the second email he ever sent me... i COULD have lied... but that's not my style... like i said... i'm open and honest... so i dont end up leading anyone on... I'm "talking to" a couple people... one stands out above the rest, but i dont think he's as interested as i am... so i keep "talking to" other guys... i never thought that was wrong..

There's a difference between dating in person and just on line chatting. He is over-reacting.

yup I basically agree w/ motown

except I do take any commitment seriously - even if it's online - like if I had scheduled time to talk with someone - an online date so to speak - I would not be cruising the net during that "date"

but ya, he is over reacting it doesn't look like u guys had anything like that going on.

the last time I was asked that question (basically to account for my time on here) I did not answer because it really isn't anyone's business until it needs to be his business

lol... I didnt say anything since i tried to explain that i wasnt even DATING any of these people... still in the "getting to know you" stage... and he sent me three REALLY mean and awful messages how he cant wait until i end up hurt and alone because i only care about myself... and how i disgust him and blah blah blah... guess i dodged a bullet with that one... haha

I think you can date or talk to anyone you want to, as long as you are not in a committed relationship, I myself have two female friends and another woman I have just started dating, I have no romantic interest in my 2 friends, the woman I am dating at the moment has asked if I am seeing anyone else, in which I replied yes, only as friends though, we are not seeing each other exclusively at the moment, I think whoever you talk to or even see is your own business.

Yeah I agree, I think you dodged a bullet. The guy sounds obnoxious.

You're not wrong for talking to more than one guy, because you are not in a committed relationship with any one of them. It's the other guys problem not yours. You're not using anyone either, enjoy your life.

hmmm. it is a little odd considering how little you knew of each other. as we do not know his view of it, I feel a little sorry for him whoever he is

but u need to not worry - just keep having fun. when it is time to settle down and be faithful to that special guy you will know it

As long as you are not in a relationship then who cares. As long as you don't get upset that they "talk" to other girls then there is nothing to be concerned about.
