Is age the determining factor or common beliefs be the factor in creating a relationship...
I have had the priviledge of meeting a young lady on Mingle2.....
40 years young but attributes of an old soul....
My generation....
It is hard to believe we sit on the same platform directionally but focus issues on real issues beyond ourselves into the future....
12 years difference in age..
Passion equal....
Not needing someone to find and feel younger in life....
To have found someone with the same passion I have....and...no words can do this justice....
All I can say to individuals on this site, is to get involved in the forums...
Can't find a match.....
Can't send out or receive a nudge....
Or-----IM......
We started in the forums....
Got the guts to view our profiles..
Then formally said hello via Emails....
Hours of phone calls under our belts..
Mingle 2 is our dance floor...
I have good friends and company each time I am on line....
Thankyou to all of you...
This is the best and only site I want to be on!
I've asked my lady to do the same....
There is always hope for that perfect relationship.....
There is always a guarantee you will have friends at Mingle2.....
Wishing if teadipper could share on this but she may be busy.....

You'll get a different answer from everyone about age. For me, it does make a difference. For you, it doesn't sound like it's an issue. Good luck!

I believe real, mature relationships have no boundaries whatsoever! If the passion, love, and caring, that u have, meets someone's requirements, then you found your soulmate! Since when age difference in a mature relationship became a crime?

I concur with you.....
Rules of life/relationships have multiple boundaries...
They do not fit all....
They do fit the couples who are successful in life.....

Age does NOT make a difference.

Love does.

I agree but it shouldn't be all about money and top-notched jobs! It should be on a person who can deliver a heart to someone who needs it! In other words, materials shouldn't matter...its the heart that counts and somehow, we lost that because we gotta be with the rich, cold blooded type people! Right now, Im looking for a woman who can see me as a mature 23 year old man who wants to be her rock when she cries, her lover, companion and best friend! I may be too young for a serious relationship, but I know how to treat a woman than most guys that are older than me, no offense! LOL but hopefully you find happiness

It's not so much the age as the attitude. If there is a mutual and compatible connection....then I don't think age is a deal breaker. Age is a consideration but not the only determining factor. Just my feeling on the topic

Well everybody seeing as I am the one involved and I am usually super strict about age, you guys know my game. The "You could be my fetus if." It's similar the the Jeff Foxworthy, "You could be a redneck if.." And I won't date anyone who could possibly be my child. Well, I won't date anyone who could be my father. And he is such high integrity, I know he was not out having children at 12 or even 15 so I am comfortable. I am too old to be one of his children. I do have a friend who is much much younger who is the age of his oldest child. And I did seriously ask her as we are very close, if her parents divorced and her dad brought me home after the initial shock, would she be happy? She said and this is a direct quote, "Terri, you are such an awesome person. Everyone who knows you in real life loves you. Of course, they would grow to love you. You rock!" She is the type that would tell me the truth if she thought I was walking into something I couldn't handle. In life, most of my friends have always been older or very high IQ or old souls so 12 years to me is not that big a deal. In many ways, I am old fashioned in my value system. You will notice the excessive use of clothing in my pictures. LOL. And things like that. And while, I am a little out there, I will never be mean or hurtful to people. It is not in my nature. I tell people, I would rather be be-atch slapped than to hurt friend. And we share many of the same values. And both of us did not set the bridges to our exs on fire. We remained decent to them which is important to me.

Teadipper, I agree to what you are saying but my whole point is this: Be with who you want to be with age wise and it's not a law...it's just a code that people go by. In my opinion, I would skip the code and be with a woman older than me who will take me seriously

Exactly bro.

I remember what it was like being young. Apparently you hit "Gentlemanly" maturity about 13 years before I did. You are gonna score some serious tail. (las vegas odds agree)

Ain't no fault in finding peace and happiness...when you get THAT...time just drifts away man.

It really just comes down to preferences. Big age differences are ok with some, but not with others. For me, it's more about where we each are in life. The bigger the age difference, the more likely we'll be at different places in life, which will make it harder to date in my opinion.

Keep in mind, I am only speaking for myself.

There are no rules when it come to mutual attraction. The heart knows only what it feels.

Age matters depending on what you want. Apparantly ladies over 35 are less fertile then younger ladies, so that's just the first thing one has to think about :)

For me age always mattered. Never wanted to date someone that could be young enough to be my son. laugh
