I have 36.3 real friends, 430 fake friends and 221 people who believe they are my friends but are actually enemies I keep close.

If you can count your real friends on one hand then you are a lucky person. Not surprised by people that say they do not have any real friends. I myself have vacancies on that hand. Why aren't you surprised when people say they do not have any real friends? That surprises me quite a bit. For those of you who don't have real friends, who do you spend time with? Acquaintances? I can stand a hell of a lot my own company and I have my own family and an Ginormous extended family. |

Soufie, at least you made it into the ".3%"..... I think I am number 220 on the enemies list!!   If my world fell to bits tomorrow who would walk through my door to support me? If someone else's world fell to bits tomorrow whose door would I walk through to support them? The answers to those questions, are ...the people who call me friend, and the people I call friend. and realistically....it would get really crowded in here, (at my house)....and I would walking through a lot of doors. My partner is my best friend, and the rest are dear friends. I CLAIM THE GUEST ROOM!!!!!! Or the hammock out on the porch.   I have many, many acquaintances but I am honored to have a group of friends in my life and even more honored to have found some who have slipped inside my heart even further and have become part of my family.

Another question for those who say they don't have many friends. Why do you think that is? I don't know anyone here, and I have no idea how to go about meeting people. I was never in a situation like this before. There's nowhere to go and no way to get there. It's very clannish and provincial in this area. If your family hasn't lived here for 17 generations, you're essentially invisible. |

Another question for those who say they don't have many friends. Why do you think that is? It may be that we live in such a busy society that it can be hard to make time for friends or new friends. Me; I am busy 18 hours a day; but would always make time for my friends but not all my friends would do the same for me with a few exceptions. I found out who my friends were in 2003 when I had a bad car accident and then again recently when I was on the verge on a nervous break down. |
