look at me
same old boy
same old town
nothing here
hanging round

but you still love me
don't you babe
and you still call me
and you say
I love you old boy so stick around
come over to this side of town
take a look at me while we settle down
for a spell
for a spell or two

the mirror girl
has done you right
so pretty
through the night
rolling around

and you still love me
don't you babe
you still call me
and you say
I love you old boy so stick around
come over to this side of town
take a look at me while we settle down
for a spell
for a spell or two

you know I always wanted to end up this way
but time kept passing and we forgot to say
some of the simple words that turn on the night
and on the day

sitting here
all these years
helpless babe
fighting tears
getting down

and you still love me
I need you babe
and you still want me
what can I say
I love you girl so stick around
come over to my side of town
let me look at you while we settle down
for a spell
for a spell or two

maybe it's not to late
maybe girl

do you still love me
after all
so many crimes of love
I stumble and I fall
I swear
I love you babe
lines for me are on your face
you look at me and say

you look at me and say

I love you old boy so stick around
come over to this side of town
take a look at me while we settle down
for a spell
for a spell or two

or three

never leave

what?

I said, never leave

Hi gang, and thanks

Thought I would say this. Yes, most of my poems are songs. I love writing lyrics. For me it adds another dimension to the words. Maybe someday I'll take some of these and hop in the studio and lay them down. In the meantime thanks for reading some of my work/feelings or thoughts.

It's so great spending an evening reading poetry from all of you.

Isn't mingle the greatest!

It is.
Your poem is like a big, wet kiss :-)
