I have always tried to put a little in my 401K plan over the years. I have lost 45% of that money twice in the last 10 years. Now that I might need it I have to pay a 15% penalty to our government who fuked everything up in the first place. Thats Bullchit....smokin

401ks are just another way to rip off the working man.

I would have been better off if I would have invested my money into
fried pork rinds and beer.

I never did 401K for my employees. I knew that down the road somewhere this was going to get messed up and the people would once again loose. Instead I gave flat rate (profit share) bonuses every year and merit bonuses to the achievers.

and then there are those of us who followed events in the economy and adjusted our 401k and ira accordingly and not only lost nothing but enjoyed nice gains over those same ten years and retired at an early age. and of course i've paid the government nothing in penalties. we often look to blame others for our own missdealings.

401K's and deregulation.... just another redistribution of wealth Vegas style for the bankers to risk the peoples money instead of their own.
