What is considered incompatible for you PERSONALLY in dating or during relationships?

In other words, what is something about a person you can't accept or live with regarding values, future plans, personality traits, life style, etc.

Think of something that is so IMPORTANT that it will determine whether you will stay with that person or continue to date them.

Two for me is..

1. If we don't have common values or goals in the future. I don't want kids, if that's important to him it might not work.

2. However, I would like to get married.


Be honest..how many fellas HERE would stop dating a woman who doesn't want kids in the future? I've met many guys who want like 2-4 kids somewhere in the future

I have enough kids, it's smoking I can't stand. I guess I can be like everyone else and say liars and cheaters, but that should go without saying. I wouldn't date a liberal woman. Since I've learned I can live happily without a woman I have decided to be very picky, so I have a lot of show stoppers on my list.

here's some of my big time turn-offs:

someone who i have to watch my tongue and worry about offending

someone who i have to keep an eye on all the time

someone who's just looking for SOMEONE. i am looking for a girl who wants a man exactly like me. desperation, rebounding, and loneliness are not valid reasons to date me, and it definitely shows as the relationship progresses.

i prefer simplicity and dorkyness to having enough eyeliner in her purse to last for a week while stranded on a desert island. if she's "too cool" to challenge me in a video game, think about stocks with me, or get her hands dirty while working on her/my car together (even if you break a nail), then she's not cool enough to be with me.

lastly on the chopping block, i'm not looking for a woman with another man's kid. for one, it's not mine. for two kids always seem to get in the way of an otherwise good relationship. he/she is a constant reminder of another man who was a negative influence in her life. if he wasn't negative, then she'd still be with him, right?

I really can't be around smoke... it bothers me so incredibly much! I'm so happy in Ohio you can't smoke in bars or in any place of dining.

The eyeliner part is funny. I feel the same about dating single parents, no offense. I think it's great for those who can work it out but for me it's not a personal preference.

Oh that would definitely be a deal-breaker for me !

I want at least one kid, but I wouldn't mind having 20 as long as I can support them, lol. I'd really like a son, so that I can give him my name (like my dad did with me).

Other deal-breakers are not wanting to take my last name (I know, it doesn't seem important, but it means a lot to my father and to me, so it's actually reeeeaaaaly important).

Oh, and trying to get me to *snip* or tie-off a certain area...I don't mind if you try to convince me so long as you don't mind failing consistently. Other than that, I can't think of anything out of the ordinary (i.e. infidelity, being a guy, etc.)
