Wow, I have been on this site since December, and I am still figuring things out....

OK, you know that little section on your home page where it says "New Matches" and there are pictures under it? I thought that was supposed to show pictures of people who were JSH members and who fit within your search parameters. That seemed logical to me, since it would be a simple and efficient way to keep track of local people you might be interested in.

And I tried e-mailing some of those people and they never responded.

And it just occurred to me -- that's not a set of member pictures at all, it's a LITTLE TINY ART GALLERY!! Those are little bitty portraits of some of the world's great masterpieces cycling through the page. Now that I look more closely, I can see "The Scream" and "Guernica" and "Llama In Paradise."

And THAT explains why they never answered those e-mails.

Jeez, that's a relief -- here I thought there was something wrong with me....

I think I know what you mean, I have tried e-mail with no results, was blaming it on the fact that there was no one closer to me than two blocks, the distance would just make it too difficult.

I get hundreds of emails a day. But they don't come straight into my inbox. It seems that someone reads them and then deletes them before I get to see them. But I can feel thier presence, and I know they WERE there.
