How do we learn to forgive? how have you MADE youself REALLY forgive someone when you thought you never could? What did you tell yourself to convince yourself? What did you do after forgiving - ever backslide????

That's to bad. Holding grudges will make the hate consume you so much that it will turn into a very nasty and negative person. I forgive,but I don't forget. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. I just let things go it's hard,but it's better for your emotional well being.

I am with B on this one... Never forgive....never forget....unless you are talking about a 5 year old kid. If you are forgiving a full grown adult...then those fukups aint the one with the problem. Never forgive. Never forget. I leave that crap to those who pray to a dead camel jockeies. Never... NEVER (I can repeat it if I need too) Before you get all booty hurt...remember that christianity, catholosizm and Judeaism allow no margin for error.... (I gave you the tame version of my opinion cause I don't wanna get kicked off site) Take that worthless tripe to the religion threads before I shove it there. There is no place for forgiveness. JMO I don't hate or seek vengeance on any one who has wronged me, I have no ill feelings towards them, but I also will not allow them to wrong me again.

Just saying it like it actually is. No, those who have wronged me really don't deserve the energy it takes to keep those things. I believe that what goes around, comes around, and those who have wronged me will be taken care of, just as I will answer for my wrong doings towards others.

I do actually understand and to an extent give a small amount of respect to that theory.... But, I honestly view it as bending over and allowing someone to do you dirty cause some uneducated sand peasant said you should. I respect the theory behind it....not the actual reality.
