so poverty is not the crime, the poor are just more likely to be called 'criminal' |

sometimes the poor get off easy,,
a welfare-case mother of 8 killed a motorcyclist recently in Lancaster, CA. she pleaded no contest and got only 4 years for gross vehicular manslaughter (she was VERY drunk), was tried in less than one week. that`s California, supposedly really cracking down on drunk drivers. |

if you get questioned by the police the better your education the less they will manipluate you...if you demonstrate knowledge of law even less so...growing up the home of a single mother on welfare i know for a fact that it counts against you in most cases and people use their positions and knowledge to manipulate and control

thats interesting, probably is the exception though I wish I could find more about the details in that case,,,, was it her first DUI offense? http://www.dailynews.com/ci_20478358/woman-charged-lancaster-motorcyclists-death it may have been a first DUI offense. she was driving with a revoked/suspended license but they don`t say why it was. she fled the scene on foot. killed a guy on Monday morning, went to court on Wednesday. will likely be out of prison inside of 2 years. |
