How screwed we are coming fall and winter season. Us in Illinois haven't had rain in weeks. We have a fire ban on pretty much everything. Our corn and bean fields are dead. Hell, we haven't even had to mow the lawn since the 2nd week in JUNE! Grass is dead and brown. Be prepared for gas and food prices to go way up after harvest season, which won't be long since all the fields are pretty much dead. My dad is a farmer and he said 75% of his fields are dead, corn and beans never even grew.

Gas here in Illinois just keeps going up. At the start of summer we were down to under $3.00 a gallon, now it's $3.75
|

It's nice here too, but we've been under that heatwave since June and they said expect it too stick around until fall season. Can't count how many times we've been over 100 this summer. It's currently 90 right now at 11:30am, high today is 101.

There is such a thing as too much pain. If you can't handle it very well, then it's obviously a bit much already. All the medicines and surgery can at least take it away a bit.

Hmmmm, now I know whose porch to sneak some zucchini onto in six days... Not sure the origin of, nor who invented the holiday. Zucchini is one of those fruits that can take over your entire garden. By the time August rolls around, gardeners have more than they could ever possibly use. Since it tends to grow on the vine faster than it can be picked, neighbors tend to sneak over to their neighbors and leave a "friendly" care package on said neighbor's porch. |
