How do you prefer to use these forums?
Do you participate in all different forums, or just specific ones? Do you just chat with friends, or do you try to get to know new people? Do you prefer to participate in discussions that go back and forth quite a bit and can be more serious, or do you like light hearted threads better? Do you try to understand what people are saying, or take what they say without question? |

I am light hearted and it shows I believe, no one should take anything I say seriously!!
I will participate in any forum if I feel I can fit in. So I have to be comfortable with responding to a person's post. It might take me a little while to mingle. I try to understand people. Sometimes that is hard not having walked in their shoes. I prefer to use these forums as an icebreaker. |

To answer my own question, I like finding out how people think. That's why I ask questions. Some are cool with it, some are obviously not. If someone does not understand something I say, I'd prefer they ask, just like I do.
I usually check out the recent posts and respond to what sounds interesting. I don't often go into individual forums. Silly threads can be fun, but I also like threads that involve discussions, especially if I can learn something. |

I think me and you have been here long enough to where we can get a fairly accurate grasp on how each other uses the forums. You seem to participate in a variety of topics, get to know others as well as regulars. You seem to prefer the more serious discussion, more intellectual, but you also enjoy the occasional causal topics as well. You certainly have an interest in getting to know and understand others, and are easily misunderstood by new comers and those who do not take the time to get to know you well. Would you say that's fairly accurate? There are certain forums I will avoid, as well as a very few amount of members I will try not to interact with. I'm not locked into one specific topic, but tend to go more fore the light hearted ones. I will chat with pretty much anyone here, except for a few. I prefer the random and silly discussions. I do try to understand others. |

Now that I am in a relationship, I use the forums as a social venue to connect with friends and to discuss topics I find interesting... I participate in different forums... Both... I enjoy both but tend to gravitate toward the more serious discussions... I try to understand what someone is saying... |

You seem to participate in a variety of topics, get to know others as well as regulars. I do try to understand others. What you said seems pretty spot on.  I don't know you well, but you're always pretty friendly with everyone. You seem to participate in lots of different threads. Sometimes, you provide very brief answers, so I ask questions to get more information from you. You don't seem to take things too personally, though, and don't seem to get offended easily. |
