LE MARS, Iowa (AP) - Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama criticized chief rival Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday, contending that candidates who are comfortable with the role of lobbyists in this country have been in Washington too long.

In an interview with The Associated Press and later at a town hall-style event, Obama said the matter would be a critical issue in his campaign for the party nomination.

Obama pointed to Saturday's bloggers forum in Chicago where he touted his promise not to take money from lobbyists. Clinton argued at the event that taking money from lobbyists was acceptable because they represented real people and real interests.

REAL PEOPLE?????laugh laugh laugh
They are corporations that want what is good for them, not for us.
They want cheap labor.
We want good jobs with decent benefits.
They want less taxes on them.
We want less taxes on us.

And dont come off with that **** about passing the tax on.
Without the lobbyists corporation send to buy our goverment officals' votes, we could stop that too.
Q: How much profit is too much?
A: What the oil companies receive now.

I have a lobbyist in Washington and I'm a real person. What I want the gov't to do is good for you.

I don't pay anywhere near minimum wage and I hope to give raises as soon as possible.

I want my employees to have to pay less tax.

I would like to make a profit, otherwise why would I work.

I'm not an oil company, but it would be interesting to build a refinery. Anybody have 100 million laying around they would like to invest? I could loan you my lobbyist.

Fanta, you missed on every count.

Lobbyists wrote every bill Obama submitted anyway so we have a pot calling the kettle black.

Anybody going to ask what my lobbyist is working towards? I'll give you a hint, Its something green (enviro-green).
