Keep soaking it in cool water.

Doing that cools down each layer of skin. It's the only way to prevent really, really deep burns. My guess is her skin is really sensitive and she'll probably develop blisters on her fingers.

Keep soaking, give it another 30 minutes and then see how her fingers feel.

There's this stuff called "Foile, or Foille?". It is a burn ointment. I had a REALLY bad burn more than once, and I took an aloe vera plant leaf and peeled the outer green off of it and took the gel and placed it on the burn and wrapped it good and left it there over night; The next morning I took it off and my burn was numb and wrinkled and whitesh. It felt so much better. I dryed it out for a few hours and did it again, then when I removed the wrap again, it looked like it had never been burned that bad. I love Aloe Vera.

I'm not a medical doctor, but I burned my hand once like that and it took forever for it to stop hurting. The pan must have been super hot and/or her fingers are super sensitive. In my case the area I burned was super sensitive.

Keep soaking, maybe put an ice cube or two into a glass of water, but DON'T put ice directly on it.

Do you have health insurance? Some insurances have 800 numbers where you can get a hold of a nurse by phone for simple questions like this.

they make a good cream, (first aid for burns) it does nothing to heal the burn but it does sooth the area making the burn much less noticable.

well put some aloe vera on it and put wet wraps on it and dont let it dry around the finger or you will have a hard time taking the wrapping off

Baking soda paste also helps. Do not use butter.

After 90 minutes, the 'feeling of burning' is due to damage to the nerves and tissue, probably not to any heat remaining in the tissue.

Still, if cool water feels good, then it feels good.

I burnt my hand once, soaked in cold ice water over night, and the pain went away, that and aloe vera helped

Yea, I agree with massagetrade. Damaged nerves and tissue is nothing to worry about, 'tho. It should heal in time, just like any blister or burn you get otherwise.

um, hay, If it is burned bad enuf for the skin to come off you might want to see a doctor. They might want u to apply some silvadene to prevent infection. That is prescription only tho, u cant get it over the counter. Really you can call any advise nurse thru ur insurance. I wouldnt take caution to any online advise....

Good luck..
