Hey everyone i am posting this because i wanna know why people joined the military. I have my own goals for the marines and one day i will achieve them. Please don't get mad for me asking. I just want to know how you all thought. What you are thinking to this day. I mean no disrespect. I just need some other view points. If you have the time of day please post a reply to this. i would love to know what people think.

i dont think anyone has a say in who should join the military but that individual. I have the dream of ending up in Arlington. Thats all i want from life. And i am gonna make it there one day.

I for one could not see my life going anywhere, the army gave me the opportunity to travel, see the world learn a trade and yes even serve during wartime. I did see a lot and learn a lot that would never have been possible had I remained a civilian.

well i was about to sign up at 17 but i figure i might be afraid of the person screaming at me i am very sensitive and hate being yelled at lol that is the only reason plus my father thought i was nuts lol

Its a very rewarding career. Also even if you dont stay in. As long as your in you dont pay for school. There are many different paths to chose depending on what your good at and what you want to do. In the service you never have to wrry about anything. they take care of everything, Housing, school, child care, medical, attorneys and taxes even. If your interested....talk to a recruiter but I also suggest you talk to or bring someone to the recruiting station that is already in the service because they tend to leave out the negative details.....if anyone has any questions you can talk to me

I believe it to be the highest honor the military has to offer. All of the brave souls who are buried there are of the noblest kind. I want to be considered that.

hahaha things of changed we are at war and retetnion is low....the days of screaming and discipline are gone.......they cater to new recruits like babies now

I am going to enlist as soon as my probation is over. I have responsibilities as a single father and as of right now, I have no career, no money to go to college, I barely get by paycheck to paycheck. It's in my best interest, and my daughters best interest, if I join the Military so I have the chance to get an education in a field that I choose.

I would also like to be disciplined and become stronger physically and mentally.
