i am trying to get im on mingle2 but i cant find it

HOW DO I IM?
First, you must have YOUR 'Instant Messaging'
turned ON:
http://mingle2.com/user/enable_im
(Or >>My Account>>Settings>>Turn ON IM)

Then you would go to the profile of the person
with whom you wish to chat.

Under their picture there is an orange button
'Instant Message' which you would click on and
the request to Instant Message is sent.

If there is no orange button labeled 'Instant
Message' it could mean one of two things.

The person does NOT have 'Instant Messaging'
turned ON.
(In which case you could email them and request
they turn it ON.)

Or, the person is in 'Stealth Mode.'

I've tried all of those things to IM someone but none have ever responded back. How do I know they received my page? Do I need to upgrade to use IM? Thank you.

No you do not have to upgrade to use IM, email or the forums.


I sent a member an instant message but he or she never replied. Why is that?

There are a number of reasons why the person may not have replied to your instant message. The user may no longer be at his or her computer, and thus unable to respond. Or, the member may not have time to talk and, therefore, refused your request. In either case, you might want to try again at another time…or find another member to chat with.


You probably won't get a notice if they don't accept the IM.
