I have been here for a few months and I have viewed quite a few profiles. When I liked them I made them know I'm interested one way or the other... A few times I also used MATCH HIM. I wonder now how this people are informed about that (none of them replied, obviously :).
I have received some emails, invitations and nudges myself, but I have never been informed about matches (if there were any), so I don't know how it works. If there is no obvious means of informing the receiver on his profile than I don't know what's the use of this tool?

Don't quote me, but I believe the match feature is exclusive to subscribers and possibly people who were here long before this site became Mingle2...Don't quote me though, I could very well have absolutely no idea since I don't bother with those features anymore.

I'm not a subscriber and I get the notifications on my account. You can match them, but they have to match you back to see a mutual match. Once they have responded, you'll see it in your account area. Then, you or the other party, are on your way to getting to know eachother better. Don't fret though. I get matches and they never respond to me.

You get notified through your email (that you have on file)
if a Mutual Match is made with you. They will also appear on
your Mutual Match List.

If a Mutual Match is not reciprocated, no notification is made
although there is a way that gives them an opportunity to check
you out (your profile is put in with others matching their
criteria.)

With the Premium package here, there is also a link on the
Mutual Match page that shows who said 'Yes' to your picture
when selecting for Mutual Match, whether you reciprocated or not.

The purpose of the Mutual Match is as a tool to show reciprocal
interest, easing the way to contact.
