I knew you were going to ask Sing!!laugh

One was a guy I agreed to meet for dinner....He got there first and was standing in front of the restaurant waiting (so he could check me out and pretend he was not my date if he needed towhoa)...I KNEW he was my date cause he was "rocking" nervously back and forth, back and forth while chewing absently-mindedly on his fingernailsspock I parked my car in the only available space and walked the length of the parking lot as slowly and seductively as an over the hill broad wearing overly high heels for the first time in months couldsad2 I mean I really went all out to look my best for this guy slaphead ...I guess I succeeded because the first thing he said to me, as he lowered his head in shame and regret, was, "I lied to you about something."grumble Of course I already knew, I mean it was soooooo obviousohwell He lied about his age by shaving off nearly a decade....I thanked him for fessing up, turned around and seductively stomped back to my carsmokin ....All that seductive walking gave me one hell of an appetite, so on the way home I stopped at McDonalds and ordered a # 4 combo meal, upsize it please:angel: ...It was delicious... bigsmile

Nah, he didn't need to be stood up. He got the reaction he deserved!

What is really sad is he was probably a nice guy who didn't need to lie ...Why people do this when they really want to find someone is beyond me Sing...ohwell

I wonder if anyone who has stood up someone would admit to it here.

I can't remember ever standing up anyone except the time I fell and broke my leg on the way to the date. But, I did call her and let her know what was going on.

I've been stood up a few times though. It never really bothers me though because I have a way to handle it.

My answer is No to both questions. I usually plan my meetings out, no spare of the moment meetings. Most come a distance so I am sure they wouldn't want me to stand them up after travel anywhere's from 4 hours to 100's of miles.laugh I did meet one man here in the city a while back but he was recently moved here and it took me two weeks to meet him. No meets from Mingle2 Yet. These guys move too slow on here unless you live in their City. Most men like women close.

I've been stood up once before. I had a table at a nice restaurant waited and waited, after a while I figured I got stood up so I ordered a cocktail, paid the bill and left. However the waitress gave me her number on the way out ,I think she did it to make me feel better.

I don't think it counts as standing someone up if you actually call them and let them know you're not showing up. That would be canceling the date, even if it is last minute.

Planning a date out has nothing to do with being stood up. But, that's awesome it has never happened to you :).

In my opinion is does have to do with it. I communicate well and know the Men I meet inperson. They are less likely to stand me up, if they couldn't make it, they probably would have Called to say so. If a man just stands you up and never says why or what happen, He wasnt much of a respectful person. I am seeking a respectful man, and there are some still out there.bigsmile

Being stood up is a form a lying, most people do this to others. Not to me.

I don't lie so I wouldn't do this to someone else.

My ex bf was good about making plans, not showing up, and calling the next day to tell me some sob story. I have never done it to anybody else and hope to never feel the need.
