If so, what songs/albums are your favorites?

The Downward Spiral will always be my favorite, but I was pretty obsessed with everything NIN until I stopped listening after With Teeth.

it has been a long time since I have listened to NIN (for a variety of administrative reasons - like my cd collection is a mess and I lost some files from my media player)

I found him interesting and was very intrigued

@plastic_pancakes: yeah, I'll admit that With Teeth lacks a bit when compared to his earlier works :/ though I very much enjoyed all his work, except Ghosts I-IV. I've yet to get into to it like his other material. I also think that The Downward Spiral is just about every NIN fan's favorite album haha - any songs that stand out to you?

@sweetestgirl11: you collect CDs too?! :D
I feel like I'm the only kid in my generation that actually collects CDs now :/ haha but I'm proud of my collection - there are some CD's that are very difficult to find and I'm fortunate that I have what I have :D

Pretty much this...Ghosts I-IV were pretty good too, but I literally like just about anything Trent Reznor puts out.

Even the side project with his wife, more for the music than the vocals admittedly.

@FearandLoathing: have you heard the An Omen EP? What is your opinion of it? I've yet to buy it myself, but I'd like to get a fan's perspective of it :)

It's alright but I liked the first self-title album more...Check out Youtube, they have most of the tracks off the new EP.

Used to listen to NIN a lot back in the early 90's.

All time favorite NIN song is probably Last, off of Broken. Very cathartic.

My favorite song off of The Downward Spiral is probably Ruiner. Dig the guitar solo.

Also, I actually like With Teeth, but I just really like the sound of the first four full length albums more.

I agree. I have had files come up missing enough times to continue to want a hard copy of everything. My vinyl I gave to one of my sons. I will prolly give my cds eventually to his brother.... we chose many of them together - music has been a wonderful personal journey for us.

oh and yr34z or something like that is the only of his I know - really like it

I am proud to be Virginia's resident Nine Inch Nails fanatic bigsmile
I first heard them with the video for March of the Pigs on Beavis and Butthead. A year later, one of our cleaning ladies at the time let me borrow her copy of Downward Spiral, and it was all downhill from there, as they say. I'm not afraid to say that I'm completely obsessed with Trent's music, including his film scores and How To Destroy Angels (whom I got to see live, and it was an amazing show). Trent and his music, in a very literal way, has been my savior more than once in my life, and I owe more to him than he will ever know.
I've got floor tickets to their upcoming show in DC in October, and I am beyond excited for it. I saw them in 05 on the With Teeth tour, but I missed them on every other tour after that, so I've been waiting eight freaking years to see them again. It's possible that I may die of happiness after the show.
