I am curious if any of You out there Love the Grateful Dead Music?
I didn't really enjoy them until seeing them live on 12-27-77 (Hmmmmm, that's 35 years ago today!)
The Grateful Dead weren't the best at what they did, they were the only one's who did what they did!

I went on "Dead Tour" a few times in my life. In '95, they followed me. I did enjoy the experience for the Grateful Dead had a unique style of preforming. Sometimes Jerry would forget the words to the song he was singing, but the music rarely stopped.

I remember once, I think San Francisco and it had to be in the early '90s, the crowd was really getting excited. The band was building to what was obviously going to be a rare rendition of "Cosmic Charlie," when the strings broke on Jerry's guitar. You could hear the collective "Aww" through the arena.

The entirety of going to a Dead Show was more than just seeing the band. The crowd itself was different. It was like hanging with 10 -20 thousand of your dearest friends. Most people knew the words to the songs, no matter how rarely they played it. Those were some fun times, that I won't forget - probably because I barely remember them. flowerforyou

In my youth, when I was growing up in the Philly area and the dead came anywhere
Within 150 miles of me' I would go to the concert not to see them but to buy sheets of acid from the crowds and bring them back to Philly and make a killing!

Obviously, being 22, I'm too young to have actually seen a show, but I have to add that there are a lot of young dead heads out there.

Touch of Grey is one of my favorite songs.
