We are focusing on those that don’t post a pic as if they can’t be trusted, but how can trust those with pics on their account to be truly the person we are talking with. It doesn’t take much to grab a bunch of pics from Google, Facebook or even old sites like Myspace and use them instead of your own. Just because there is a pic on their profile doesn’t mean they are any less at wanting something to hide.

Many use the phrase 'social network' as if it is some vast holy convention where everyone is so happy, cheerful and truthful. It ain't nuthin' o' da kind'. I know of an easy dozen people that 'belong' to the most popular ones and only 3 have their real names and photos up; nor is one asked for proof of name or photo, same as virtually all sites. Liars, both real and 'virtual' along with cheats and other sundry types are found in and on all sites. Never-mind their marital status. Same as here. Many have also asked and continue to is why on earth would anyone proclaiming to be 'happily married' still trolling the various sites...the usual, tired old excuse they offer is that it is for their friends on the site that most have never met. Surely their lives can't possibly be that impoverished that 'cyber-friends' are the cornucopia of their social existence...that is truly pathetic.IMHO...

I get too many views. I wish it was a way of blocking them here. I read profiles rather than focusing on photos on here.

No more pathetic than judging others you've never met.

I can prove my pics are of me by going on webcam. I think that people are wondering what the big deal is, with having pics unless you are hiding from the law maybe? Or a spouse, girlfrind or boyfriend?

just seems pointless to be on a dating site when you don't even want to show your face.

Honestly, some of the answers here give me that creepy feeling again. You know, that feeling "why do I waste my time" feeling. Certain times I get that really weird vibe, like this isn't happening is it?

There's I'm sure 2, no 3 million reasons why folks put up the pics they do or don't do. Do we really need to analyze this?

Regardless of how the insecure folks want to make you feel, put up the picture you want to and feel secure about why you did it.

The last time I donated hair I cut it a lot shorter than I ever had cause I wanted to have short hair for the first time in my adult life. My industry (hard to believe) crucified me for getting rid of my trademark. I never thought it would bother me like it did, but I avoided going to tradeshows for 3 years because of this and shy-ed away from as many cameras as I could. Every time an unavoidable article would come out or a snapped picture taken without me making the perfect pose I'll be truthful I freaked.

Going through this taught me a lot about myself and a lot about others. What do I want people to see in the end is up to me and my business partners and isn't anyone else's nosy noses business. If you don't have something to hide in your photos, bad or no teeth, no hair, weight, color, blemishes, whatever God bless you. For the rest of us who wear makeup, use good lighting, pump up before the shoot, old photos, whatever well God bless us too.

Yes, absolutely yes, if your getting to know someone on a romantic level and it makes that big of a difference to you. If your the kind of person that can't see with the heart, then by all means trade pictures daily to make sure your compatible on the outside. Play that same ole game that made you end up on a dating site to begin with. Be sure to make sure you get your skype out and go down through your checklist when your in your private thoughts away from them doing your judging.

I don't know guys, sometimes it gets pretty dag gone immature on here.
