I am still waiting for someone to produce five American pennies from two pairs of American pennies.

Does devaluation of the currency come into play, as we all know a penny is no longer worth a full penny. So if devaluation is factored into your 4 pennies, how many more will you need to bring the total to full value...one or two more perhaps...that way we could have 5 or 6 more...laugh

Besides economic value, how about copper value and production costs?

I was reading something the other day that stated it costs 2.41 cents to make a penny. In that case...

2+2=9.64

Numbers are always a universal language. 2 + 2 always = 4.

Well...we do have a brand new form of math at long last!
Make a formal announcement to the Press and you're up for a Nobel in Mathematical values for integers based upon the devaluation of the raw materials to produce money...CLAP! CLAP!

(Don't forget, I recognized your value first!!laugh )

If 2 + 2 = 5, I won't use pennies.

I'll use 100 dollar bills!

Yes, I'm at least as valuable as a joker in a deck of cards? laugh

yea, but a mathematical trick obtain whish say 2+2=5 it is also based on the formula
(a-b)^2=a^2+b^2-2ab.

there are no tricks in Mathematics, regardless how much you would love some Sleight of hand!
That's why Maths is so useful!

they got rid of the Penny here some years ago,and the Nickel might be next!
Already looks more like Brass than Nickel!laugh

Now the waiting time has been end, I am going to prove it thats 2+2=5
friends just come and see how to provf it ...........

NOW WE ARE GOING TO PROOF THAT 2 2=5.

Let we take a value,
20=20
applying -ve sin on both sides,
-20=-20
which can be written as,
16-36=25-45
adding (9\2)^2 on both sides we get,
4^2 (9\2)^2-36 =5^2 (9\2)^2-45
which is formula of (a-b)^2, then we can get,
(4-(9\2))^2=(5-(9\2))^2
now taking root on both sides we get,
4-(9\2)=5-(9\2)
since here in both sides (9\2) then it is cancel out and then we can written as,
2 2=5 proved.
which was i promise with you.
Now what do you think.

You did not apply the distributive property properly to all terms. The proof is flawed.

16-36=25-45
(4)^2-36=(5)^2-45
(4)^2-36+(9/2)^2=(5)^2-45+(9/2)^2 [adding (9/2)^2 to both sides]
(4)^2-2*4*(9/2)+(9/2)^2=(5)^2-2*5*9/2+…
(4-9/2)^2=(5-9/2)^2
4-9/2=5-9/2
OR 4=5
OR 2+2=5

So yes this formula itself proves 1=2=3=4=5=6=7=8=9 to infinity, but in an ambiguous way, if not exactly illegal. The jury is still out and probably always will be.

I still say ask Will Hunting. laugh

same thing, rethink this line

(4)^2-2*4*(9/2)+(9/2)^2=(5)^2-2*5*9/2+…

I'm sure you're right, but can't even look at it anymore Hippy. It's making my brain cry. tears explode tears

And it's reminding me that there was A REASON I never become a mathe...magician. slaphead

I don't khow what it effect on people. But we khow that it is my work it take a loss of period of time then it comes.
And it is correct that's the proof of 2 2=5. It is also based on all rule of mathamatics.
Thank you have a nice day.
