This was said to me when I was 27 years old by a very close female friend that was 15 years older.

"Woman fall in love fast but its usually just "surface love" but with men, it takes them a long time but

when they go, they go deep!

I few years later I would experience this first hand and find this to be true.

I've been there four time's , 4/4 ....100% , In one case she was telling me that she loved me

6 months before i loved her, we did eventually get married but she seemed to becoming less in love

as I was still falling deeper.

She and others have been resentful towards myself for "pushing them away in he beginning"

They just wouldn't understand that it just going to take time.

They always were literally cry for things constantly pushing the stages of our relationship.

Once all these goals were achieved I would just see a big chance in them, blaming me for taking to long.

This would be about the time I would be madly in love.

Make me think if there is a God, that he/she into practical jokes

Anyways, we just had our 9th Anniversary, true,the first two are always the hardest, we now get along
great.........put I havent seen her in 7 years.......true

I can agree with the perception, but I think its more of a matter of social expectation

women are 'expected' to have a romance and men are 'expected' to get laid,,,,

so, with those different priorities, we can psych ourselves as women to believing we are 'in love' pretty easily,,where as with guys there is less pressure to be there with a woman and they can take their time

personally, I believe in taking time to truly know as much of that person and their life as possible before deciding I am 'in love',,people can only put their best foot forward for so long, its the REAL person you will be dealing with and need to get to know,,,,

I have friends who fit that scenario...i would be the odd ball out lol because i don't fall in love quickly like that...i will be infatuated for a while but love doesn't hit me as quickly and sometimes that can put guys off because then they think u're not seriously into them...at least that's been the past experience...i usually go with my gut instinct on that and every time its the butterflies that clue me in that its more then infatuation.
