good grief come into the 21st century.normal cannot be defined.if 2 people of same sex fall in love, how is that wrong?love doesn't know colour or sexes.it just is.you sound like the old Victorian tempest mob from uk.no offence but at the end of the day live and let live,. we all have views,we all are entitled to live.look around how many hetro relationships are full of vitriol, beatings, murder, divorce, abuse.loads.dont sweep it under the carpet.we are all human and the basic human need is to be loved and wanted.i hate those who bring religion into arguments.religion has nothing to do with who you love.at the end of the day lets be real-jesus wore a long dress and hung around with only guys,.what does that say?laugh

So we should all jump into the 21st century as abnormal deviants?

So who defines the definitions of right and wrong? i keep hearing "it's not wrong", but what makes it right? because you say it's right? you don't agree with religion, so anyone that uses religion as a basis is automatically wrong? this love conquers all - even your morality? there's not a point when you ask "is this right?" if people cannot keep self control, then things like this happen...

I say love is seperate from sex

Im not opposed to people loving either
but I do find sexual behaviors like adultery, incest, and homosexual sex to be abnormal and deviant,,,,

You're not going to be able to police that, though. If you deny gay people the right to marry, you're not going to be able to stop them from having sex.

What I want to know is why so many people worry about who others are having sex with. If gay sex bothers you, why think about it so much? Live your life and stop worrying about who else may be having the kind of sex you feel the need to stop. You're not going to be able to stop it.

And we keep hearing from you guys that it's not normal or right. Who decides what's normal and what's right?

And this coming from an atheist? Are you now going to start siding with those who dislike homosexuality due to religion?

no, i didn't get my point across, i guess... my point was about opinions altogether... people that follow religion have their beliefs, and you seemed to be dismissing them for what they believe, making me believe that you think your opinion is "more right" than others...

if you think gay butt sex is right, then more power to ya, i won't agree with ya...

as dodo puts it,, 'begging the question',, is this notion that disagreeing with homosexual activity has to be based on religion....

religion is an easy scapegoat, but seems to me homosexuals already ahve all t he rights anyone else has in regards to having sex and being committed to each other

the only difference is the financial benefit

and that could be resolved with a civil union without touching marriage, if you want to protect homosexuals rights to have a partnership so they can enjoy CIVIL rights than you can just as easily create a legally binding partnership that affords all the rights of marriage barring the expectation of consummation

but the point is more about forcing the culture to equate homosexual activity with heterosexual, which is quite absurd,,,

I totally agree!

I agree. Why the fuss over what others do in the privacy of their own homes as long as no one is being hurt?

I hear the 'sanctity of marriage' excuse and I wonder how sacred can it be with the divorce rate so high?

I just don't see the point of all the furore.

To those who are against same sex marriage, do you feel that interracial marriage should not have been legalized either?

If you feel differently about both, why?

No....gays or lesbians and interracial marriage got as much to do with each other as gay bikers on acid and aliens who like videos of puppies doing bong hits.

How jacked up are you to equate gay with interracial?

You tell me...what is your problem with gays who ain't having sex with you?....Or black guys who ain't having sex with you?

Religion is personal. If someone has religious beliefs that say being gay is wrong and anal sex is wrong, no problem. My issue is when they try to force others to live by their beliefs.

I dont want to police it , I also dont want government to SANCTION it,,,,

forcing gayness into the mainstream worries me because of my children and future childern and the society we are developing by making the behavior something other than unordinary

I dont CARE if they want to have sex, I do CARE if they want to force society into legitimizing it,,,

So, you're against marriages where the couples are not procreating? Do you believe a couple must try to have children if they're going to marry?
