For me, it's not that it doesn't die. It fades, but it remains a special part of you. You treasure it because it is your first... and the "firsts" are never forgotten. :)

Very true, I wasn't in 'love' with this girl about 5 years ago (I know I was young) but I did care for her a lot and really wanted something with her but I messed it up (no thanks to alcohol) and now I see her and she's completely changed (like she used to be really nice but now she's kinda bitchy and slutty) and it makes me wonder how things would be different

My crushes last though...They crush me repeatedly, but it is constant.

I have always been in love with the first woman I fell in love with. That won't change even to my dying day. I could go on for hours about how she was the most wonderful person I have ever met but I don't think I'd ever be able to describe her perfectly. She was struck by a drunk driver and killed many years ago while coming out to see me from college. I will never forget her and I will always care for her.

I do have really fond memories of my first love just because he was my first. I'm 100% sure I'll have even better memories with my last love though.

like my first crush when i was in high school .. I always remember him .. I always want to attend my classes just to see him .. And now even his far i always remember his good memories .. Im inlove those days ... Yihhhhh

We get along very well, we'd check on each other every once in while, suppose we're good friend not only because he was my first, think its more of what we've had & how we broke up. The breaking up was peaceful & ceviel from both parties.
He's married now & I support him. Was asked over & over if I ok with the idea before he got married. It was almost as if he was hoping we'll maybe get back together again. First love always has that remarkable memory... |

i did remember him for long ...passionately and was loyal after breakup (lol, that sounds stupid now), until i discovered (much later) that he cheated me (i agree i was/am dumb). and now i still have memories of the good time.. and also i dont want to forget the bad part of the story. Does it mean i love him still? i think he does not matter anything to me now.
