Firey Curry Ramen with Shrimp

Ingredients

1 pack chicken Ramen
5 or 6 frozen, pre-cooked, shelled & de-veined shrimp
Garlic to taste
Curry powder to taste
powdered Cayenne pepper, as much as you think you can handle, then add a little bit more
1 tsp olive oil
Frozen soy beans (optional)
2 handfuls of your favorite frozen stir fry veggies
Add 2 cups of water to your pan, add the curry, cayanne, flavoring packet, garlic and shrimp.

Bring the water to a boil, and add the dried noodles. pour the olive oil onto the noodles and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

Here’s the trick: Instead of adding your frozen veggies an soy beans to the pan, put them in your bowl, then pour the hot ramen over them.

They’ll cool off your ramen so you can eat it sooner

Cajun Seafood Noodles

Ingredients

One package of shrimp (use 2 seasonings if have an extra one) noodles
chicken bouillion cube (if Strong flavored noodles desired) otherwise half a chicken breast- shredded
some cajun sausage, cubed
tiny pinch of sugar
half tsp butter
half tsp gimbo file (omit if dont have any on hand. It just makes it even more cajuny)
a few peices okra (omit if not on hand)
pinch or so celery salt
half tsp MINCED garlic from jar or a few piches of powder(NOT GARLIC SALT)
Cook noodles as usual. Just add everything as soon as you put the noodle block in. These noodles should be soupy and have broth when done. You must either/or both put hot sauce OR season to taste when noodles are in bowl, with any type of cajun spice!! (some people drain all juice) A few things are missing from the ingredients, and your’re using noodles instead of rice - but its pretty close to jumblaya!

Ramen with White Sauce

Ingredients

1 packet of Ramen
1 tsp butter
1 tsp flour
2 to 4 TBSP milk
salt and pepper (to taste)
assorted herbs and spices (I suggest onion and garlic powder, parsley, oregano, and basil, but you can probably just use the seasoning packet from the Ramen you choose)
Cook Ramen as directed, but no seasoning packet. Drain water.
In a saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the flour. It should look like icky floury playdough. Add the milk.
While you incorporate the milk, add your spices and such. Once the sauce is down to a consistancy you like, serve over your Ramen and add salt and pepper to your liking.

Fat Kid’s Ramen

1 can tomato sauce
2 packs ramen (Cup Ramen Preferred: use chicken, beef, or pork)
2 Hot Dogs
2 cans water (Tomato Sauce)
Garlic Salt (optional)
Lemon Pepper (optional)
In a medium sauce pan put the tomato sauce and water. This amount of water will give you a thick spaghetti consistency. Adding more will give a soupy consistency. Let it come to slight boil. Cut hot dogs (raw) into small chunks and throw into pot. Now let come to a full boil and cook for 5 minutes. Add the ramen, if using cup just rip cup and toss in, if using brick, don’t forget the flavor pack. (The reason I like cup is for the dried vegetables.) While cooking, season with garlic salt and lemon pepper, or just use salt and pepper as desired. Cook until the noodles are cooked like you like em and serve. (By the way this makes quite a bit or food, if just feeding one person just half all the ingredients.)

Vietnamese Shrimp Soup

Ingredients

1 package Shrimp or Lime-Shrimp Flavor ramen
a handful Small frozen shrimp (pre-cooked)
1/4 fresh lime
cilantro, fresh (finely chopped) or dried
1-2 sprigs fresh basil
green onions
bean sprouts (optional)
hot sauce (Sri Ra Cha) or red pepper flakes (optional)
Other optional additions: chopped spinach or napa cabbage; frozen peas
Cook ramen according to directions, using 1/2 cup more water than called for on the directions. While noodles are cooking, defrost any frozen ingredients (shrimp, peas, or greens) under running warm water. Place thawed ingredients in the bottom of a bowl along with white part of green onions and basil sprigs. When noodles are cooked, add seasoning packet and cilantro to taste. Stir well, correct seasoning, and pour over ingredients in bowl. Squeeze lime into soup; you may drop squeezed lime into bowl for additional flavor if you like. Add hot sauce or pepper flakes to taste, and fresh bean sprouts if you like (don’t use canned, they are nasty in this!). Serves 1-2, depending on how hungry you are.
