had quite the eventful evening last night.. the dog bolted outta the house just to come face to butt with a skunk

after that.. spent a few hours drowning the mutt in tomato juice then doused her with shampoo.. then I had to shower cuz I smelt almost AS bad as her.. the clothes went into a bag and put out back until today when I could wash them.. mind you.. after opening the bag OUTside, I figured I best just lay them out for a bit of fresh air..

OH no!!!! There's nothing that REALLY works when it comes to getting SKUNK smell out. If I could invent that.... I really would be a millionaire. Poor pooch and poor you for having to clean up the pooch. I hope the weekend ends better for you. I've been enjoying the New England weather and views this past weekend But seems there's a family problem happening in Maryland so I'll have to make a trip down there within the next month or two. Never a good thing when it's a family visit for sad reasons But I guess seeing family can always bring out the brighter side of things I had my first hot apple cider of the season earlier.... just seems to hit the spot on a cool crisp fall day Oh and Dodo.... baking is probably always healthier than frying... but I'm not sure kitty cats see it that way

you and me both my dear.. she STILL smells at least it's localized to just her immediate area now so.. in time.. it'll wear off.. OYE actually.. the crushed tomatoes worked better than the tomato juice.. but she smells somewhat like the makings of a spaghetti sauce..

went for my walk yesterday morning and got attacked by 4 wee lil kittens.. some idiot abandoned them on the side of the road.. this is becoming quite a problem in this area.. people think "the cats 'll find a barn or farm to live on" yeah.. not at THAT age they can't and not WHERE they were left.. so I have house guests.. and NO Dave.. you CAN'T HAVE 'EM! I'll find a place for'em.. per usual.. *sighs* never a dull moment..

I'm really sorry to hear about your family troubles.. that sucks but.. it's all part of life huh.. and yeah.. it's good to see family, even under sad circumstances..

yum.. yeah.. tis the season for hot cider.. actually ANYthing warm this time of year is mmm mmm GOOD!
