A white male teenager posted this on my kid's FB this evening:

I can't believe Zimmerman was found innocent; how, he is a murderer. Sorry Travon I guess this means that this country stills believes that if a white man shoots a black man it must be self defense. May God rest your soul and I hope I get the honor of meeting u in heaven.

The media should (all of it)be sued, Zimmerman is Hispanic and most people who watch the "news" regularly are idiots.

I had posted somewhere earlier tonight asking how long it would be before obama and holder try to try Zimmerman for something and got this from moveon:

Dear MoveOn member,

Tonight, a jury acquitted George Zimmerman. But we are not done demanding justice for Trayvon Martin.

We're calling on the U.S. Justice Department to open a civil rights case against George Zimmerman and have launched a petition to Attorney General Eric Holder. The petition says:

The Department of Justice has closely monitored the State of Florida's prosecution of the case against George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin murder since it began. Today, with the acquittal of George Zimmerman, it is time for the Department of Justice to act.

The most fundamental of civil rights—the right to life—was violated the night George Zimmerman stalked and then took the life of Trayvon Martin. We ask that the Department of Justice file civil rights charges against Mr. Zimmerman for this egregious violation.

Please address the travesties of the tragic death of Trayvon Martin by acting today. Thank you.

Click here to add your name to this petition, and then pass it along to your friends.

Thanks!

–Benjamin Todd Jealous

This petition was created on MoveOn's online petition site, where anyone can start their own online petitions. NAACP didn't pay us to send this email—we never rent or sell the MoveOn.org list.

Want to support our work? MoveOn Civic Action is entirely funded by our 8 million members—no corporate contributions, no big checks from CEOs. And our tiny staff ensures that small contributions go a long way. Chip in here.

I find this to be disgusting to say the least, but would not expect any less from race baiters and filthy liberals.

no more than trying to 'secede' from the country when your presidential choice loses,,,,,

im guessing it will come and go,,,like most 'movements',,,,

however, as in the oj case,, where they just couldn't prove beyond a doubt,,,there is still a civil case possible due to the less rigid standard

someone should be culpable for an unarmed kid being shot,,,,

and then there is always Karma, where possibly good old upstanding Z will spend his life feeling intimidated and followed by others, the way his victim reasonably felt that night,,,

I feel for Trayvon's parents, but it has come to light that they let him run around like an animal and this is the outcome of it.

Tonight, Obama weeps.

haaa,, and what did zimmermans parents 'let' him do? molest a relative, assault a cop, assault a girlfriend, assault a store patron,,,lol

and what were ts parents 'letting' him do the night he got killed, go buy skittles and spend time with his little brother

yeah, so right, this was the outcome of the parents negligence in raising this boy,,,,

,,,,give me a break,,,

George Zimmerman may or may not be given the legal consequences that some people want him to have, but he has been punished for what he did and will continue to be punished in some way until he dies.

this is how most of us have to deal with it now,, in Gods hands and the hands of karma

perhaps, if things are just, he will spend his life being followed and harassed the way he followed and harassed treyvon that night

I wish death on no one though,, but I do feel it would be just for him to live with being on the other side of someone elses profiling behavior for the rest of his life...

So much for Obama's gun control fuel....

If prosecutors can't convince a jury with 6 women on it in the death of a child, they couldn't have had much of a case....even for the lesser charge.

thing is, they weren't sure about the lesser charge, but no one cleared it up for them as their question wasn't specific enough,,,

He should never been tried in the first place.

an unarmed child was stalked and killed,, absence of a trial would be miscarriage of justice,,,,

an unarmed child was stalked and killedthat is not how the jury saw it,, absence of a trial would be miscarriage of justice,,,,

why do you persist mr. anderson...

an innocent man was being assaulted by a teen, he fired one round from a legally carried weapon to stop the assault

No. A miscarriage of justice is to take a man to trial for murder without the proof to sell it to a jury. This is the truth of what happened.

1. The attorney comparing this to Medgar Evers and Emmet Till.

Shame on you. Why is it only people who are mad at the verdict say Travon was an innocent child or innocent kid?

Children do not have the capacity to beat the living crap out of an adult.
Children do not get tattoos.
Children do not use screwdrivers to steal jewelry.
Children do not write graffiti on school property.
Children do not smoke weed.

I already know that's not how the jury saw it,,,

'innocent' is a matter of personal perception,, my personal experience, causes me to have a different perspective about the 'innocence' of a grown man following a kid around alone at night and harassing him,,,while armed with a gun,,

my perspective, an innocent kid was stalked and harassed to the point of having reasonable fear for his life,, and in defending himself against that threat,,,it became true and the killer was able to play the victim and be justified,,,

so, every trial resulting in an innocent verdict is therefore a miscarriage of justice?,,,,,interesting perspective,,,

spoken like someone without children,,,,,lol

children (16 year olds) can have tattoos just as easily as they can have piercings

children (16 year olds) smoke weed as often as they smoke cigarettes

children OFTEN write graffite on school property (have you never been in a school bathroom?)

and NONE of that is relevant to what happened THAT NIGHT when a kid was killed

but anyhow, to the one point which has any relevance whatsoever...

children do not usually have the capacity to 'beat the living crap' out of an adult, but they can break a nose or throw a punch,,which is all that was proven in this case

oddly, most adults usually cant be beaten by a child, but they can also cause physical harm to one with their hands,, nothing that was ever proven to be the case here either because the coward had a gun instead...
