Why couldn't you understand
all the pain and resentment I couldn't stand

What I wanted was love and affection
not to be constantly shunned

I wanted your time
yet you couldn't give a second
of your time to me

Everything else was more important
Me, I felt I was nothing

So many tears
over the years

So much Hurt
Yet you were curt

All I ever wanted was your love,
all my love turned to anger and resentment

I've lost the love of my life
because you didn't give me your time.
