I blocked a user and supposedly I am not suppose to be contacted in any way by this blocked user and that a blocked user is not suppose to show up on any searches I conduct!!?? Right! Wrong! Today I conducted 2 searches and Both Times the user that I had to block showed up!! What else can I do to prevent that user from showing up in any searches??

No...the block feature only blocks from contacting you..email, IM, nudges.

I feel ya. I blocked someone but I still have to see them in my 'you may be interested in..' runway. I probly drove the mods crazy cus I kept reporting it. haha. sorry. Don't feel bad I think I am driving the mods crazy right now reporting scammers.  I think I keep getting the same ones back as someone else because they talk the sameway in emails. 3 of them in one week and now I think that 2 came back as someone else. Only on site 1 month and its really been an experience |

That's not true.... when you block someone it clearly states that blocking will prevent them from showing up in searches too.....

That's not true.... when you block someone it clearly states that blocking will prevent them from showing up in searches too..... You are probably looking at this on the 'Mail/Blocked Users' page: http://mingle2.com/blockeduser/list What does blocking do? "Blocking a user will prevent them from communicating in any fashion. Blocking will also prevent that user from appearing in the results for any searches you conduct." To check this, I blocked someone, then ran a Search, and indeed they appeared on the rendered Search list. As we can't have it both ways, something needs correcting :-) |
