Ya'll just watch....the real target is going to be Iran and their nuclear program. whoa

The US Military is preparing....they want you to believe they are dessimated by sequester. You bought the BS.

Decimated is too strong...Choose something better, like weakened for instance...US military is still coping with the effects of of two very long wars, a diminishing budget, and foreign policy idiotsOur defense department is uneasy and rightly so!Those who are most concerned are the ones who had, and still have, hands on experience in both Iraq and AfghanistanThey don't like the odds of launching an attack against Syria because they understand what the consequences could, and probably will, involveSince when did America's foreign policy obligations include "spanking" anyway? What happens if Assad absorbs our strikes? Will he launch a full scale chemical weapons war? What about our exit from Afghanistan? We are still losing troops there! If we strike, I don't see how we can avoid deeper involvement...That's the only part you got rightThe rest is like every other chitty conspiracy theory...Just a pile of chit that normal people have to avoid stepping in....

Neoconservative Bill Kristol said that the so-called cuts would decimate our military. The military budget has not been cut...all they "cut" was the projected rate of increase. Sure Assad will absorb the strike, but his military won't. Knock out his airfields and you rule the sky. He won't be able to launch airstrikes to take out the Israeli jets flying to hit Iran.

And what the heck was that we launched from Vandenberg the other day?

It was a test shot THAT MISSED ITS MARK!slaphead Sure hope they can determine why before they put your theory into play!!They have been testing this interceptor since '04, still don't have it perfected!PS, it's in response to Korea, not Iran...

You must have read some old news....go to space.com
A Delta 4 Heavy rocket (USA's largest)carrying a payload for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) lifted off from Space Launch Complex-6 at Vandenberg at 11:03 a.m. PDT today (August 28). Designated NROL-65, the top secret mission is in support of national defense. This is ULAs eighth launch in 2013, the 24th Delta 4 mission and the second Delta 4 Heavy launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base.

It's poker...It's strategy. If I was playing poker, I would want you to think I had a real sheety hand.

Why haven't we heard much from Iran lately?

Because they're not that stupid?

Actually, they are that stupid...this just in:

TEHRAN, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- An intercepted order from Iran instructs militants in Iraq to hit the U.S. Embassy and other interests if a military strike on Syria occurs, U.S. officials said.

Officials said the recently intercepted message was sent by Qasem Soleimani, head of Revolutionary Guards' Qods Force, to Iranian-supported Shiite militias in Iraq, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

They are getting involved, just as planned...and will pay the price. Looks like the game is unfolding just as I predicted.

F Russia. Putin is the real sissy and the US Military knows it. They will not jump in when we hit Syria and Iran.
slaphead slaphead

Doesn't everyone want Iran's nuclear program hit?

No
Wrong....nobody wants to see a nuclear Iran.

Why is McCain a big supporter of the attack?

Because he's senile...

Because he knows we are going to take out Iran's nuclear capability.

He knows the game.

He's forgotten most of it....

You don't forget war...he was a pilot and a POW. You don't forget that experience.

It's all a ruse.

Ruse, muse...Typos happen...

Just watch...........OKrofl rofl

It's all a ruse...trickery...strategy.

Just watch.....

Firing cruise missiles into a soveriegn country is an "act of war." That is an undeniable fact. You can't treat other countries like schoolyard bullies no matter how brutal the dictator may be. The idea that we are first going to "send a message" was ridiculous given the rules of warfare. The next postion by our government is that we want to turn the tide of battle in Syria's civil war. That too is ridiculous since we open a couple of problematic doors:

Russia and Iran support Assad.
The aftermath of a rebel victory will likely be the same as in Egypt, Lybia, and Tunisia...chaos in which Islamic fanatics flourish.

What are the true objectives here? If obama, kerry, mccain, and the other fools know, they are not telling. That is not how America is supposed to work. If they don't know, we are certainly wise to abandon this foolhardy plan.

Returning to the schoolyard bully idea. That is how Amerian politics now work, and it is a true shame. We have political non-leaders all crying "afoul" whenever anything doesn't go their way. They are like the schoolyard whiners. The juvenile nature of world politics is frightening when one considers that countless innocent people are being killed to support these idiots.

War? Hell no. More US police action? Hell no. Save face? That is idiotic even to consider. We should never kill anyone simply to save face.

Sadly, this will unfold as it will. May we all pray (those who do that) for wisdom to prevail.

McCain? Obama? Kerry? Assad? Putin? All peas from the same pod.

By the way, I am a Vietnam Era Vet with three tours in the Iraqi Theater too so I have a pretty good understanding of how terrible this all is.

Little Billy Kristol the big time commentator for Fox News?!!!...Surely you jest!rofl And military spending was cut, drastically cut...You are familiar with inflation I presume....whoa ...If you take the time to read the first draft of the resolution I think you will conclude that taking out Assad's airfield(s) is part of the plan....

The launch at Vandenberg....Thanks for the link, I will read it......Top secret you say?spock ...Nice of them to provide a link...

Iran...No, they are not that stupid, don't you be...And compared to Obama, they are geniusohwell ....The last time we underestimated the likes of them it cost us nearly 3,000 civilians...

Of course no one wants to see a nuclear Iran, but that is not what you asked...

Last, I know the meaning of the word ruse, I was making a joke that apparently went over your head....Obama is not consulting you, is he?!!#?!!@#!!!??!scared

The rest of your stuff is just stuff...

PS: The fact that McCain was a POW could mean that he is not competent enough to make this type of decision...Did you watch the debates in '08?....He's not too quick on the draw....

Well it's not looking too good for Kerry and Obama, the longer they have to wait, gives Americans time to give them a piece of their minds.
The tide seems to turning against the war machine.
BTW...thanks for your servicedrinker

Many of you may think Prsident Obama is an idiot and has made some big mistakes in this latest Middle East dilema. You watch the media and are being fed a story that, when you really think about it, doesn't add up.

The President may be a lot of things but he is no dummy. He is a thinker, a strategist, playing a very cool hand.

Do you think he really wants to leave a legacy of just lobbing a few Tomahawks at Syria?

Do you remember the night before the Bin Laden raid that killed him in Pakistan, where was Obama? He was at the Press Corps banquet, cool as hell, making jokes.

Did you hear where he was during the actual raid on Bin Laden's compound? He was in another room playing poker.

Do you really think the Syrian leader Assad would launch chemical weapons into a neighborhood with UN Inspectors 5 miles away?

Isn't it convenient that this chemical weapon incident happened and opened an opportunity for the US Military to launch an attack?

Do you think Syria is the final target of this operation being mounted?

This is a high stakes game of Poker. While everyone is arguing about "red lines" and other BS, Obama is going to pull an ace out of his sleeve.

Something very much bigger is about to happen.

Iran's nuclear program is the real target...the prize.

Once we launch a strike and take out Syria capabilities to respond, Iran will be be forced to support their only ally in the region. This opens the door for an Israeli/American response to knock out their nuclear program.

Just watch....

yep,Hannibal,Alexander The Great and Napoleon Bonaparte all rolled into one!
There was a Guy in the Thirties/Forties who believed the same thing, called himself Der Groesste Feldherr Aller Zeiten!
(Grfaz)

I think his name was Schicklgruber!pitchfork

Mein Fhrer, Sie sind der grte Feldherr aller Zeiten.

 Wilhelm Keitel[1]

and if it does happen as you say it will definitely be not because of Obama's non-existent skill in Military Strategy!
