It's Greek numbering to spell out NERO, the ceasar who was in charge at
the time REVALATIONS was written.
666 was in reference to Nero, a tyrant. This was John's subject when
referring to the mark of the beast.

So I guess no real demonic beast will rise from the depths of hell and
swallow us up in one gulp. LOL

it has been happening since the beginning of time. Satan rules this
earth.... for now anyway. Satan offered Jesus the whole earth. How could
he do this if it wasent his? Look at the hate, the wars, the starvation,
the sin.... not very God like in my opinion. I think what is happening
is that God will let us run the world into total destruction before he
saves us just before we kill ourselves off.. then he will show us the
right way.... again.... and mabe this time enforce his laws to show us

I'm in San Francisco and I want to meet the guy at the telephone company
that gave USF, a Jesuit University, the telephone prefix of 666. I
think it might be the same guy who named a picknic area after the Donner
Party. They were a party of folks that got caught in the snow and had
to resort to canabalism. The USF prefix has been changed, but it still
is part of SF lore.

My two cents: We are looking at this from a very Western view point.

to recap, 7 is perfection. 6 is imperfection. 666 is the perfect
imperfection. Wouldent loose much sleep over having a licence # with 666
on it.... unless you worhip the licence plate of course. Im thinkin that
