what is 666?how is it related to antichrist ?what
does each 6
represent?(help needed from christians too)?

the devils number known as "tapu"

^the 6th trumph, the 6th Seal, 6th vial, now read the book of Revelation it only take a couple of hours to read ask for understanding, recieve the Blessings each time you read the book, but in short the Devil will come first as christ, on 666, then Jesus will wipe all tears, on 777. look at what Jesus says in Matt 24:23-40 Luke 17:23, Jesus is warning you that One will be taken and one will be left, Beloved you will want to the one left, Be here for Jesus when he come on the 7th trump, 7th seal, 7th vial.
Trumps are the sounding of action,
Seals are the truth of whats going to happen lock in you mind,
vials are the cup of wrath The angles will dump out.
Hope this helps

...do you know that whenever you see the symbol of a star with a
circle aroud it.. This is a satanic symbol. The star represents God, and
the circle around the star is symbolicly trying to surround God and
trerefore trap it. (Safety tip from Rambill.)

So, Texas is Satanic?! Interesting.

W.O.W......everyone got some interesting theories. I believe as soon as everyone became a number, i.e social security numbers and such, is when everyone began to bear the "mark" as you call it.
think about it. legally, can you buy or sell without it or anything else save for personal dealings on a strictly cash basis? can you get a driver's liscense?
just sayin.

666 is a misprint, a mistranslation, a mistake.
The actual number is 616, according to the Dead Sea Scrolls. Everything you've ever heard about 666 is just plain wrong. Gee, I wonder how many other mistranslations there are...

Why does anyone still believe this b.s.?

so do you think that 666 is referring to materialism or capitalism lol

Neither. When that passage was written, both of those philosophies weren't even on the horizon.

I remember talking to someone a long time ago(before the internet was popular)and he told me one day that people would either have a computer chip or a small bar code embedded in their forehead for ID purposes. That day has come.Thousands of people have already had these chips put under their hands and since the chip is only the size of a grain of rice it can easily be injected into your body with out you noticing while you were under surgery or sleeping. There is also claims that 666 is on every bar code. There is many websites dealing with the chip implants and the 666 number one of them is listed below.

I remember when I was a Conductor for the Union pacific railroad we got a locomotive in our yard that was numbered 665.I asked the engineer of the train(who had been a engineer for 41 years)if they ever numbered a locomotive 666.He told me no railroads would ever number their locomotives 666.But he said in the 1970's someone didn't give a crap and numbered a locomotive 666 for the Union pacific. He said everywhere that locomotive went it was upsetting the towns people who lived that and they demanded it to leave. It wasn't long after that this locomotive killed a switchman in a accident. There was several other accidents by not only employees but also involving pedestrians including several more fatalities. In less than three months this locomotive was involved in more fatalities, accidents, derailments, and other mishaps than any locomotive in the history of the Union pacific.Engineers and other employees refused to take that locomotive out or go near it.Since nobody would touch this locomotive the dispatcher said he would send the locomotive back to the paint shop for a new number. On the way to Arkansas the train including locomotive 666 was involved in a head on accident that killed the crews on both trains.Word reached the CEO's about locomotive 666 and the carnage it left behind. The CEO of the railroad was so pissed off about it he personally flew to the accident scene pointed to locomotive 666 and said "I want that locomotive cut into a million little pieces and buried".The locomotive was only 3 months old.

000,00

That are the chances of one man fulfilling the bible prophecies by random chance.Jesus fulfilled all of them all. That is just Jesus. We haven't even started to get into prophecies that have been fulfilled with out Jesus. They will all be fulfilled just like the bible says they will.Only a true fool would believe otherwise.

http://www.bible.ca/b-prophecy-60.htm

Prophecy is foretelling an event in such detail before it happens so as to necessarily require divine guidance. The Bible is a book containing hundreds of detailed prophecies. There are, for example, well over 60 distinct predictions in regard to our divine Saviour Jesus Christ. Here is a sample of just 10 prophecies that foretold the crucifixion of Christ. Not only were the predictions made 1000 years before Christ came from heaven to earth, but they were made over 500 years before crucifixion was first used anywhere in the world as a form of capital punishment! Crucifixion didn't exist when the prophecies were made.

A scientist picked out 48 such prophecies and determined that the probability of one man randomly fulfilling them all is 1 in 10 to the exponent of 157. That is one followed by 157 zeros! Your chances of winning a typical lottery jackpot is about 1 in 108. (100,000,000) Yet, Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies!

You will never know what it means KB because it was written 200 yrs ago
and translated a million or maybe amillion and one times..Ever hear a
stroty told thru many people?? Watch it distort evry time it is told..It
is human nature torearrange to fit the temporal facts...Hence language
shift, differing history books..ann last but not least my favorite the
ver mis quoted and misunderstood best selling peice of fiction/non
fiction ever sold.. Wish I would have wrote it>> WILL

It's meaning may or may not be clear but the original writings were done around 2000 years ago (new Testament)in Greek and Latin. The old testiment goes several thousand years further back. Hebrew was used also.

Later there were translations into French and other languages like English but many scholars now go back to the original language the text came from and work with multiple possible uses for each word to come up with the meaning that seems to fit the context and period. The problem of a translation from a translation from a translation really doesn't exist in the serious study of the topic.

On this 1 in however many chances of Jesus fulfilling Old Testament prophecies...

huh

Didja ever tink 'bout it like dis?

If a book, especially one as prominent in human history as the Bible, is reportedly known to have prophetic writing, and it goes through several different editing phases after Jesus was reported to have died - in which any incongruencies could easily be changed or left out - the chances are pretty god-damned good that whatever prophetic writing the editors leave will be fulfilled...

Dontcha think???

39 years of "oral tradition", and *NOT* the modern-day Catholic kind of "oral". As if it is an infallible, absolute, and concrete source of truth.

And even then...

They were *still* not ALL filled.

The prophecies aside, and the oral traditions aside, the Dead Sea Scrolls are a good example of older text being studied from the original language. Misinterpretation of the meaning comes more from a lack of true understanding of the context of the local politics and military situation.

"The dead sea scrolls and the language of binary opposition: a structuralist/post-structuralist approach.

<a href="http://www.thefreelibrary.com/The+dead+sea+scrolls+and+the+language+of+binary+opposition:+a...-a0198354451">The dead sea scrolls and the language of binary opposition: a structuralist/post-structuralist approach.</a>
The Qumran corpus has been rigorously explored in relation to the Hebrew language and its evolution, but little attention has been devoted to elements of "binary opposition" (pairs of theoretical opposites, often organised in a hierarchy) inherent in Qumranic nuance and the implications of such expression on the subsequent development of religious thought and culture. Structuralist and poststructuralist critics examined these oppositions, ultimately viewing them as unstable, privileging one member of the pair and marginalising the other. The dualistic theology of Qumran can be looked upon as a superb example of Hebraic "binary opposition," underlying the Greek New Testament expression of dualism as well. The Dead Sea Scrolls arguably represent a quantum leap toward a theology of "divine election," which in turn became an expression of cultural superiority. A reevaluation of Qumranic dualism may help "de-center" such language, in the ancient sources and in modern usage as well.

The Hebrew of the Dead Sea Scrolls has been thoroughly analysed with respect to its implications vis-a-vis the evolution of the language, but relatively little research has focused on Qumranic Hebrew as a conveyor of what structuralist critics have referred to as "binary oppositions"--the setting up, linguistically, of opposing pairs of terms. Such terms as benei or / benei khoshekh ("sons of light"/ "sons of darkness") and Yisrael / Ammim ("Israel"/"the nations") became in the Scrolls tools of an exclusionary theology which had profound consequences on the development of western religious traditions. "

A modern analogy would be someone finding a "Mingle2 forum post" of a liberal describing Obama as a "son of light" and also finding the opposing text describing Obama as a "son of darkness".

What is a linguist historian to do?
