so i have been watching dr who non stop lately but as iv been seeing more and more episodes i been filled with a fear, a fear that dr who has ended. please dont spoil anything for me but please do tell me if dr who is still runing

My personal opinion, with the show so popular, I don't think it will end anytime soon, and Dr Who has been around since the 60's. |

I love Doctor Who. I only managed to watch 9th's season though... Barely got started on 10th's. Managed to catch a few episodes of 11'ths. I've been so spoiled. XD I wish I had netflix.

I've started watching Dr Who over a year ago, the episodes with Matt Smith playing the doctor, but it was so confusing I never knew what was what.
Now that I've learned a bit more I know a little of what's going on but it's all still very confusing to me to this day.

I know he travels through time and helps people but why? What's his purpose? Who is he? And why does the doctors' character always change? |

He is a Time Lord.. an alien from the planet Gallifrey ( which was discussed in the last " recent" episode. He is the " Last" of his kind.. being that the war with the Daleks forced him to make " decisions" which would end bth races. He travels in the TARDIS " Time and Relative Dimensions in Space. He helps people and other aliens because he knows how precious life is and He strives to keep the balance that all life goes on regardless of it's significance or non signifcance to others becauase , again ALL LIFE IS PRESCIOUS! He chnages, or Regenerates because that's how he stays alive so long over 900 years old! and for teh show... explains how you can swap out actors! That's what I get from the show... anyone else... Have I missed anything? |

Dr. Who regenerates because the show's creators needed a way to replace the original actor portraying Dr. Who without disrupting continuity. It is a wonderful gimmick IMHO.

We Melmacians know all about Time Lords. In fact, I met one. Here is what happened.
One time on planet Melmac, my friends and I were sitting together in a nightclub, when a humanoid male wearing a long wool scarf entered.   One of my friends asked, "Who is that?"�� "I don'��t know, but I'��ll find out,"�� I replied. So,I walked up to the humanoid male (HM) and introduced myself. DD: "��Hello, stranger. I'm Dodo David. Who are you?"�� HM: "If you already know my name, then why did you call me Stranger?"�� DD: "��I don'��t know your name. What is it?" HM: "��What I my traveling companion. I am Who." DD: "That is what I want to know, but you keep speaking in riddles. You are being ridiculous.��" HM: "No, I'��m not. Ridiculous is a woman. I am a man, and if you want to know What, then I'��ll introduce the two of you."�� DD: "What kind of man are you?"�� HM: "What isn'��t a man. He is an animal."�� DD: "��This is a ridiculous conversation." HM: "Oh. So you know Ridiculous." DD: "I am looking at him."�� HM: "��No, no. Ridiculous is a woman."
